I tried setting up LiveSplit and the autosplitter isn't adding splits, do I have to add them manually or is it just broken?

Yeah you need to manually add splits, I haven't used or ran Celeste with auto split but I'd just go to splits.io and download splits if you are unsure of the layout that the auto splitter is based on.
