My family uses Whatsapp and my work department uses GroupMe. On group chats, the messages were sometimes getting stuck on sms.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.
Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.
On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.
If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.
Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.
If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

SMS is just awful, sending someone an image only for them to get a pixelated mess feels bad. Definitely not any kind of dealbreaker though, and I personally don’t know anyone who could care less about the color of chat bubbles. iMessage is just seamless, works across all my devices and never requires even trivial troubleshooting, which makes it a strong preference.
I myself use an iPhone, but I don’t at all look down on people who use android.
Hell, I love android and really wish I could use android phones. But I have had several unfortunate occurrences on my two android phones I owned in the past - OS bugs, buggy apps, OS that slows down significantly after one year, dropped texts, dropped calls, dropped voicemails, the list goes on.
Android (in my experience) was incredibly unreliable. Ever since getting an iPhone I haven’t had any of those issues.
I like Android because Apple builds cybernetic robots that target humans
It seems like a lot of iot tech is geared more towards iPhone in the US. For example my wife's Odyssey will read the entire header of a text message with text to speech, and if you look into it Honda says it's a known issue. No such issue with iPhones.
Not for me. I don't really understand the hype behind apple because you can get the same use out of hundreds of android phones as far as I know.
Not wanting to talk to you, because your text bubbles are the wrong colour? Sounds a bit cultlike in behaviour. I daresay I don't know anyone like that. But, I also don't know too many people with iphones any more. Also I don't really use text messages. For text I'm using whatsapp or signal (or for techie types maybe matrix).
Not a big texter anyway but I've never run into anyone who even mentions it outside of techy friends.
