More importantly it marks the 1 week anniversary of my birthday from yesterday and signals that there's only another 51 weeks left until my next one.

Honestly, Mothers are always making it about themselves.

On Saturday a few of my friends discusses the fact we were recently made orphans and that we should start a club. I lost my Mum over 25 years ago - cherish them while you can. And Dads too buy they'll claim they don't need a day and mutter about over-commercialisation.

Thanks it was a rough time and it never really goes away, it just gets easier after a bit.

Six downvotes for a joke, that's so reddit

I find more people downvote because I use Australian text than the joke itself.

But these are fake internet points so who cares.

I know, right? This post scared the shit out of me for a second there.

Mother's day is on the fourth Sunday of Lent, three weeks before Easter, and Easter is on the 31st of March. I don't think it's ever even possible for Mother's day to be in May?

I was being cheeky, Mother's Day is in May in Australia. Hence the upside down text.

I got it. It wasn't in vain.
