I made an appointment for a laser studio to finally start the process of getting rid of my facial hair.

I used my chosen name for the account while setting up a fresh Windows installation. Seeing it on the login screen made me feel so euphoric that I broke into tears.
10/10, would build a PC again.
I got all the paperwork together to legally change my name and gender! Then I caught COVID so I didn't submit it yet haha
You're so close, Emily! Hope you recover alright.
Ah that's so exciting! I long for the day when that will be me. Many, many things must happen first.
Just having all the paperwork is a huge accomplishment.
It's been a tough week, not gonna lie.
Dealing with so much BS trying to get back to work after taking a brief leave of absence (nothing transition-related). The amount of burocracy involved is unbelievable.
And then facing that old bugbear of mine - loneliness. Nothing is more frustrating than being on the cusp of so many positive life changes, but depression makes it all feel empty and pointless. Energy and motivation have been difficult to come by.
I know it will pass, and everything has been trending in the right direction this year, but yikes!
Honestly pretty decent. I've been kinda busy the last few days but I was finally able to relax today. The website I'm making is nearing finished. I just have to make the pages on social and medical transitioning, and then I'll publish the site.
My week's been alright. Had a funeral on my dad's side of the family (barely knew the person, that side just uses funerals as excuses to party lmao). Stayed with some of my cousins and had a good time. They're more accepting of me than my mom's side of the family, so that was doubly nice.
My dog still hasn't shown up, I'm thinking somebody picked up him thinking he was a stray because he doesn't wear collars. It is what it is I guess.
Mostly I've been dealing with the fediverse spam wave. It's been an interesting week
There's been a fediverse spam wave?
It's still ongoing. A bunch of japanese script kiddies. Check mastodon and lemmy for information.
I read that only 60 out of a thousand have been affected by this. I wonder if blahaj was specifically targeted due to being a queer instance.
