I got banned from c/politics because I said that we should treat Republicans like they treat trans folks. In an unironic message the mod said my language was threatening without understanding that's my point: the right are saying incredibly vicious things and can't take their own heat. The mods over there are turning it into a right wing echo chamber.

I haven't followed mods of c/politics at all, but I'm skeptical that it's a right wing echo chamber because we're talking about Lemmy
Lemmy's most political users vs the world's largest screen
My new head cannon is that people like ultrawide monitors so they can more easily follow a comment chain and get into more arguments with strangers.
Is there a way to tell Lemmy to provide more depths of context pr use a wider content column by default? Mine only goes to like 3 and the column width is very wasted on my 1440p monitor.
I feel attacked. (How many rounds deep do you want to go?)
One of my monitors is vertical for seeing more web content/code at a time, and it is also perfectly geared for this application.
