For the longest time, posts with a content warning that we make, particularly those for Splatfests were not visible but now they seem to be?

I'm just wondering when this started happening since I've only noticed this just now and it's a bit of a concern for me. I'm not sure what clients are used for Lemmy but I'm concerned that the clients may show contents of the message despite showing an NSFW tag on Lemmy (obviously we're not posting any porn). The whole purpose behind us using content warnings for stuff like this is to not spoil people.

Huh. Might depend on the client, I guess? Seems like it's still obscuring it correctly on my end, but could be an issue for others.

Still appreciate the tagging and putting the warnings, either way!

Just an example on Sync. I don't believe I've changed the settings for posts marked NSFW but I'm concerned about spoiling people!

Considering we mostly use text, I can't see it being a big issue though.

Posts marked as NSFW appear to be interpreted properly for me on both clients that I use.

  • https://photon.lemmy.world/c/splatoon shows the post title and the NSFW tag but does not show a content preview.
  • Sync for Lemmy (Android client) properly reports the posts as NSFW, and respects my NSFW settings.
