The king is not in check, but he can not move either.

In these situations I just keep checking, and making sure every move is a check to avoid stalemate. Mate in 1 or Mate in 49 I don't care I just want the win.

I could've brought the king to one of the sides but I saw an opportunity to checkmate in the middle of the board and got too greedy.
