When the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, declared that ‘bow ties are cool’ and started wearing one in 2010, fashion retailer Topman saw an increase in sales of 94%

Just a fun bit of trivia.

My then 11 year old daughter wanted to wear a bowtie too after the Doctor made this declaration as well. But we were unable to order one online as everywhere was sold out. We did find a nice collection of them at a thrift shop however.

Gotta love the ole cycle of "what once was old is made new again." Just like the Doctor.

I'd love to see a resurgence in popularity of cravats just because they look cool as all hell.

I actually have several, the issue i have is finding different ways to tie them. Mostly i wear wild rags though.

I love rocking a bowtie at work, it's a cute way to spice up my blouse and slacks... Thanks Doctor Matt?

That moment on the rooftop of the hospital - that's where I cut my ringtone from. Wonderful intense piece "I Am The Doctor".

Wasn't the bow tie an homage to Troughton because Smith went ape for him after seeing Tomb? The fuck is moffat on about
