From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

uninstall gnome-clocks (it doesn't remove the standard clock in your panel)

There may be an extension that you can use.

Pro tip: I'd first look into the extensions your distro supplies via the package manager.
For example, on Debian there's gnome-shell-extensions-extra, which includes V-Shell, an extension that lets you customize almost everything.

By installing extensions through your package manager, they don't break with a Gnome update.

I found one in a stack exchange thread and copy and pasted that. I'll see if I can find the thread when I get back on my PC
