I recall reading a similar article on twitter and many of the comments were "so what water warm we swim" or "wow more news media fear mongering, water felt fine at my beach resort."

It was disheartening to see so many people disregard such terrifying conditions of our oceans. Warmer waters hold less oxygen in them, fish still need oxygen to breathe. Temperatures like this will be contributing to fish kill events and other ecosystem disruptions.
