Dumbphones

Smartphones dominate the world. But have we become smarter by using them?

This community is oriented for people who prefer either so-called "dumbphones" or "feature phones" in order to regain control of their life.

Here is a very simple set of rules to follow:

  1. Don't be rude to others.
  2. Don't harass or shame somebody for not being hardcore dumbphones fan. Everybody does it his own way.
  3. Keep this community simple: discussions must be dumbphone or smartphone-oriented, not about dogs or food.

All in all, enjoy your time here :D

What type of phone do you prefer and why?

I'm thinking of getting a flip phone because of its form factor and just clapping the phone when a phone call has ended feels absolutely fantastic

No flip phones in our country unfortunately, unless it's one of the new Samsungs. blergh

If there were, I would get one, so using a candy bar Nokia, same as my other dumb phones.

I agree! You can't beat flip phone on cool-ness. However I'm currently trying a dumb smartphone approach. But I want to experiment with candy/flip and see how it goes.

I've got a candy style (Punkt MP02) and I love the form factor! It's so small in my pocket
