Amusingly, “Song of the South” is also the name of an American (Disney cartoon) movie notorious for its racism and the occasional political flashpoint for politicians and voters who want to return racism to being part of normal everyday culture.

I only realized that it was a translation when I clicked through to the article itself. Until I did, I was very confused as to why the Vietnamese would be so concerned with an admittedly racist and embarrassing but many decades old Disney movie.
