I suspect that, prior to watching the film, Sam did not know the part of the story where Oppenheimer is a communist. It must have hurt to realize that his heroic physicist was not a John Galt.

I wonder what saltman thought the Barbie movie was about
fuck, he’s exactly the right age to have played bioshock and missed the point of that too
(I think Bioshock managed to do this for seasteading and biohacking)
bioshock was such a passionate hate letter to libertarian ideas that a bunch of right-wing streamers took it upon themselves to trick children into thinking the game is apolitical and Andrew Ryan is actually the good guy
Didn't they stop just short of actually saying that? Just implied that he was very sympathetic to them (and of course was involved in organizing labour)
You have to be intentionally aiming for a bad take to arrive at this..
…right?
idiot billionaires constantly post like this. if the consensus is the idea is stupid, it was a joke we didn’t get. if it catches on, they get to maintain the grift that they’re a visionary
I’m dubbing this “Schrödinger’s Dipshit”
The I in Op*nAI stands for the guy's intelligence.
Why did you censor the e?
?!?!?!??!?!?? "Wow barbequing all those Japanese civilians was badass...I want to do that"
Sam Altman before watching Oppenheimer: “Oh man, the scene where hundreds of thousands of Japanese people are killed with a bomb built from American Ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit is gonna be awesome! Oppenheimer must have been such a cool guy! Science can never do anything bad! I am not capable of critical thought!”
