Hi,

My name is Soatok and I'm a silly sod who didn't realize creating a community would automatically make the the moderator of said community, so I've been asleep at the wheel this whole time due to personal reasons.

Anyway, I'm going to correct this oversight immediately. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As promised, Part 2 of my series on making safe, humane AI is now out on July 31st! Yes it is July 31st, the promised deadline. I wouldn't be late by almost two weeks. What, naw, couldn't be me.

This part's chockful of Robot Catboy comics, like this one:

apparently intel has finally figured out why 13th and 14th gen CPU are failing. the issue is mainly caused by a faulty microcode algorithm, which causes the CPU requesting more voltage than it needs and results in oxidation issues within the chip itself.

CPU's that do not show any symptoms yet could be saved by a microcode update, but there is no real hope for those that already started to rust away

Hi, new here to this instance. Also first post on Lemmy, I guess? Sorry if this is the wrong place. There was no "games"-community here, and I wanted to share with the local instance.

Anyway, wanted to recommend some games I've played recently that are somewhat "furry" in their themes.

  • Pseudoregalia A really fun N64 inspired metroidvania where you play as a goat-lady who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and optional costumes to earn. It's great!

  • Corn Kidz 64 A really fun N64 inspired collect-a-thon where you play as a goat-kid who has to escape a dream world. Extremely satisfying movement and... Uh... They sound really similar now that I write it out, but they're real fun.

  • FUGA: Melodies of Steel Tactical RPG where you control children in a big-ass tank. It takes place during """World War 2""" and sports perma-death for the children. Really dark, but really good too. Sequel recently came out too.

So apparently Chrome ships with an extension that is invisible to the user, can not be disabled and allows any *.google.com page to get detailed information about CPU and memory usage.

It is apparently at least 10 years old, was originally developed to debug Hangouts and people do claim that it is also shipped in Brave and Edge.

Who knows what else might be hidden in there!

Sounds like a great way to get extra memory for your GPU without needing to buy a whole new one!

More than likely. Our issues seem to stem more from GPU power and memory at this point.
