He tolde he had gotten it on sale and "played around in the little launch camp" but didn't play for more than a few minutes

Girl, lemme tell you.

It is so hard NOT to say anything! He looked up and watched the Attlerock cross the sky, and he said that was really close, and speculated that it might be a hot air balloon. I'm really looking forward to watching him play 🥰

I'm curious volks, what was the worst archive for you to reach and why the frick is it the one in the Endless Canyon??

I just finished the DLC (it was amazing, I actually cried during the end ;-;) but holy crap that was torture for me at times. I may also be unusually jumpy, but this damn house really made me change my pants several times. As time went on, I became a bit more confident, thinking that all I had to do was get past the two guards at the pond and the restaurant... so I walk confidently into the building, turn the corner right at the entrance, and one of those things is standing right there staring at me--I don't know how that one got there or if something similar happened to some of you, but it caught me off guard and I literally screamed so loud that I probably woke up half my house lmao

I was thinking that we can never see the quantum moon when on the eye of the universe? Maybe i just missed it but i did get to the eye 3 or 4 times (to get the ending with every friend) but i never saw the moon.

So i was wondering if i really just never saw it or if it really isn't there. And if so, why ? It can't teleport here because we're constantly looking at the place where it can be (idk how to explain), or did it get destroyed by the supernova ? I mean it can't really be destroyed by the supernova, since it will just switch to another state when the supernova hit it, right ?

I was wondering if anyone here has the answer, or hypothesis about that, or if I'm just blind.

Dear Hearthians, I am happy to have finally found the courage to post here. My name is Tanya, I took up embroidery around a year ago to combat my concentration problems and ended up with a wonderful hobby. I love video games and a bunch of my ideas for projects are centered around them. I also enjoy the idea of "upgrading" the clothes that I already have by turning them into my embroidery canvas.

Long story short, I had a black pullover left from my ex, and I decided to give it new life and meaning. Let me show you! Please don't judge too harshly, I'm still learning :)

This is what it looks like from the front:

I decided to keep the Sun more symbolic than realistic so that the scale would work for the pullover. Ash Twins and Timber Hearth turned out quite goofy, but I decided to keep them that way. Do you see a little trace of smoke from the campfire? :)

If you want to know what these black dots are - it's a mystery to solve for you!

Here is our dear Brittle Hollow, still intact :) Again, a sort of symbolic interpretation of it.

My favorite turned out to be Dark Bramble. I loved how the thread mimicked the uneven structure of the wood/roots :)

Giant's Deep was tricky to make on this stretchy fabric, but it turned out well I think. And, of course, the Gravity Canon right there :)

The White Hole with White Hole Station is on the shoulder.

This is a nod to Echos of the Eye ;)

Interloper, enveloped in blue light :)

And, of course, the Eye itself on the back:

This one was really hard to embroider on stretchy fabric - but also very fun.

This is my second big project after Trico from The Last Guardian (I should post it, too). It took me around 40 hours to complete, plus the planning, concept, and positioning. I have been wearing this one for some months now, low-key hoping that someone will recognize the game and will chat me up about it. Hasn't happened yet, but I'll keep hoping :) I live in Hamburg (Germany), so if you see a girl in this pullover - don't be shy, let me know :)

P.S. What's up with the Quantum Moon? This is a little puzzle for you ;)

I just finished this game and, wow. I am literally speechless

Thanks in advance to all the anons on the internet who told me to suck it and progress in the game by myself, only hint I ever recieved was a surface picture of Giant's deep lol

Finished after 50 hours, sometimes made me want to smash my monitor, sometimes made me fall asleep. Angler fish gave me nightmares, but it was all worth it in the end

This is a "One-of-kind" game in my book now, one of my all time favourites

It was surreal discovering big and small things alike, joining pieces to form the bigger picture. Making sense of things where it won't. Most obvious to the most hidden ones. Right in my home to a mysterious space-warping seed.

I was always in for a surprise. Everytime I discovered something new it always gave me the same feeling I had in the game's observatory museum for the first time. I thought this was a one-or-done game because the first time I died by falling in the waterfall (don't ask why) it was game over. Boy, if I knew better. Literally questioned existence when I learned about the Ash-twin project. And the ending? wow. Just wow, can't even describe how I felt.

Hats off to the developers, I can't imagine the love and effort put in this game

And even after all that there are mysteries left to be answered. The quantum moon when it was on the "sixth place", Other doors of the sunless city, Other "places" in brittle hollow, other seeds on Dark ramble that aren't anglerfish (they are terrifying), What do the Nomai statue's in Ash-twin's core do. Well, they are for another time I guess

TL;DR: I love the game. Thanks to internet anons for not spoiling. I love the mysteries in this game and discovering them. Gratitude and appreciation to the developers

I think this information is SO USEFUL for everything in the game and I think it's the one people miss the most, they just don't see it or pay attention to it.

I don't know the exact words of the original text (in English), but translating from what I got it's:

· See beyond the horizon.

· Light up dark areas.

· Detect danger.

· Test the environment.

It even tells you what you can do to find a certain tornado! The detect danger advice is especially useful for finding active ghost matter, we all know that, but it's the way I first got into the ATP, just throwing my scout on the warp pad before the sand comes. Then I realized I could also open the warp portals with it just for fun and come back walking (using the white warp pad activated by the scout) to Ash Twin after a little expedition to another planet.

Basically this picture made me use my little scout for everything. #TeamLittleScout

I played through the main game and loved it. Tried the DLC a few months ago but couldn't handle the spookiness and quit. I just can't do exploring inside the dlc location, the unease I get overrides any enjoyment I get from playing. Enabled the reduced frights mode but that apparently doesn't affect things until a later part of the story. Does anyone have a good recommended playthrough I can watch to get the story without playing?

So there's that room in The Stranger filled with prototype artifacts, yeah? One of them isn't entirely functional; if you use it, the flame will expand and kill you. My question is... dying due to fire while holding an artifact should place you in the simulation, correct? So why doesn't that work with the prototype? When I tried it during my first playthrough it just killed me, but I recall a vision in which an older Owlk did the same thing and continued to live on in the sim. It's been a few months since I beat the DLC so let me know if I'm not remembering correctly.

Did a wizard do it?

Thought I was gonna say quantum, didn'tcha? Well that's weird too, but also, the STRANGER's home moon is weird. Ever notice that the planet in the sky has visible rings? Well it's not so weird for a planet to have rings, but what's very weird is that you can see them so clearly!

A planet's rings always form along the orbital plane perpendicular to the planet's axis of rotation, around the planet's equator... and its moons usually orbit along the same plane. For a normal ringed planet with moons, you would only ever see the rings looking straight along their edge, so they'd look like a straight line bisecting the planet in the sky. Since you can see the rings as an ellipse shape, the moon must be in a quite tilted orbit. I wonder how long their lunar day is, and what kinds of odd tidal forces the moon and planet must experience.

I've just entered what seems to be in the home solar system of the weird creature things. I'm assuming it's a dream though, as I entered it by falling asleep. I haven't yet encountered any enemies, if there are any. What I want to know is if the horror aspects extend only to the darkness and creepy atmosphere, or if I'll be jumpscared and eaten by a terrifying alien creature.

So I was thinking about the owlks in Echoes of the Eye and how they're all dead in the real world, only living on in the dream world. Initially, I'd assumed they just died because they were in there too long. However, then I realized that they had to still be alive when the prisoner turned off the signal blocking the eye of the universe in order to build his prison.

Where this got interesting was how this relates to the Nomai. I think it's a safe assumption that they had been blocking the eye of the universe for a long time, since it was implied that the Nomai had been around for a while when they picked up the signal. So clearly they'd been living a long time in the dream world before.

So the question was, do you think that the owlks just live a really long time, or do you think that along with the simulation, they also created something that keeps them alive in the real world for an extended period of time. I was talking with a friend, and he proposed that they could've only died when the interloper came, since ghost matter clearly made it on board the stranger, which makes sense to me. Wanted to get you guys take, see if maybe I was forgetting some lore aspect that shed further light on this.

I would appreciate any descriptive feedback from the people who only started playing this game or from true veterans.

Please use spoiler alerts, so even people who haven't finished the game yet, will not stumble across a spoiler.

For the most people Outer Wilds means so many things, and mostly only good ones.

But there can't be anything perfect, right? There have to be some problems which you faced with, or which annoyed you, but that were not openly discussed or raised well.

What I found out from my personal research is that some people struggle with finding their way in the game. They are overwhelmed by the amount of information and cannot puzzle pieces together. That's why people go on reddit and try to overcome these difficulty spikes by asking questions, which is kind of problem because it leads not to full satisfaction of the Eureka experience.

Some people don't love the complexity of the game controls. Especially someone who is not playing a lot of games - they are just lacking some experience in muscle memory..

Maybe we can discuss this topics I mentioned, or the things which would make the game even better in your opinion: plot-wise or mechanics-wise, etc.

I have landed on the sun station 5 times now and it hasn't worked, I've even landed on the the side of it.

Do I have to enter the station? If so how, because the second I leave my ship gravity demonstrates how much it hates me what do I do?
