This sub is supposed to be something I and my brother-in-law writing down for my daughter as something we give her when she is 18. Advices, thoughts, etc. if I could make this private, I would.

Everybody has a right to win. When you don't, it was just someone else's turn. Learn from them and be happy for them especially if they are a friend. There's plenty of room and time for your turn. (lemmy.world)

This requires a narrow definition of the word "win"

Overpaid CEOs are "winning" while robbing others of their ability to win

Oh I meant in contests and competitions. Being a CEO and winning are mutually exclusive things from this perspective.
