@[email protected] I feel like I’m going to be shouting at the screen a lot because while there was hysteria the y2k bug was a real serious problem!

@[email protected] i recently read the german book "Der 2000 Crash" in which the author portrayed himself as calm and reasonable compared to all the doomsayers, but he was still like "don’t make calls on new year’s eve, don’t use the escalator, and god forbid, don’t be in a plane!" :D

@[email protected] I was in America for y2k and people were panic buying like I’ve never seen before, cans of food, non perishable anything edible and giant plastic, sealed waterproof tubs to keep it all in, was very surreal.
