As the title suggests, I am in search of a lighthearted anime. It could feature slapstick humour or romance, or something else entirely.

Ascendance of a bookworm is a goodn if you don't mind some actual quality isekai. The main character is Myne whose a total bookworm that's also a genius on the level of einstein isekaied from our world to a middle ages world and is totally devout to bringing printing to this new world https://anilist.co/anime/108268/Ascendance-of-a-Bookworm/
