Hey,
Many thanks for your response.
The contract is vague, but it specifies a minimum of 4 months maximum of 24; but it also says explicitly 'definite period' in one of the clauses... Just doesn't specify what the definite period actually is.
The contract is headed "Temporary Residential Tenancy", so I think that makes it a bit clearer
Landlord did text me specifying it was "not indefinite"; but that's just correspondence and not actually a term of the contract.
This is really helpful thank you.
I think right now my goal is to find somewhere better within 6 months anyway; and hopefully recover overpaid rent as this place is not really that great - even at €250 per maand.
But I wanted to understand my position before advancing in any direction; which I think I now know better 👍
I think the plan will be to give it a 1-4 months then decide on a direction; but recovering potentially ~2000 euro at some point in the future helps with planning on furnishing a next place.
Deleted posts.. hope all is well and thanks for the knowledge 👍
