Damn this blew up! (I removed the comments with the really annoying/over-the-top emotes. )
I will say, emote sizes don't seem to scale properly on different lemmy instances; for example, lemmygrad emotes here are super huge whereas I've seen lemmygrad folks say hexbear emotes are huge.
I wonder if that's a genuine lemmy federation issue
Great context. Yeah it would almost be a non-issue if they scaled (personal taste aside)
Some of them were taking up like 60% of the screen, and that's just not fun.
Yeah, boo; if there's not already a git issue might be worth opening up. On our side the emotes are very reasonably sized.
Hexbear devs are planning to fix this
