i have it, i hate it
second worst only to rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD)
fun(?) fact about misophonia that isn't mentioned anywhere in research or resources, but is acknowledged in the community to happen: sometimes when it's bad enough you can feel your private parts pulsate a bit, there is no pleasure involved, and is quite frankly confusing when it happens but for whatever reason it does happen. mentioning this here because i felt weird having it happen, and i hope others who experience it get to feel a little bit less weird knowing it's not just them
Mine manifests as full-on fight or flight. Bodies do all sorts of things horrmonally to prepare you for a life or death situation, including weird genital stuff. Vasodilation or vasoconstriction, adrenaline everywhere.... super amazing on car rides with people that chew gum wetly.
oh yesyes, fight or flight comes before what i described. that feeling of your private parts doing whatever that is comes only when it gets extra bad, for me at least
I just start crying quietly and refuse to elaborate, if it goes on for too long. Very mature and healthy.
