There's no money in late-night anymore, streaming killed it dead. Why watch cable when you can save that time for a binge marathon?
I mean, f* Fallon and his laughing at his own jokes, but my boy Seth Meyers deserves better. Even Colbert seems like he's trying.
Stephen Colbert used to be way funnier when he was a conservative.
After selling out so he could get a spot on late night he got a lot less funny.

Ah, this is satire.
He was 100x funnier on The Repor^^^^^t . Terrifyingly so.
Mainstream couldn't handle that, but he's still way inside watchable, I just wish he let himself go more often.
That bit played out, tho. It was good cuz he was believable. After the correspondents dinner when he went mask off it was basically over and he had to kind of reinvent himself.
He picked the right time to exit, if it wasn't completely played out it was close, and knowing when to end a bit is core comedy talent.
Trying to play that under Trump would just be so weird.
