Hello From Friendica - Quick Activity Pub cross compatibility test

@fediverse

Hi, sorry, I hope this isn't to spammy, I was revising some writings on the various social media protocols and wanted to test some stuff before I stated it as fact.

Anyway, I might as well provide some potentially interesting information instead of just completely worthless spam. What it appears (and confirms if you're seeing this) is that you can post to lemmy via a blogging/microblogging instance as long as you '@' the lemmy community. First line is the title and the rest is the post itself.

Have a good night everyone.

@nate0 @fediverse Sir, can you just take a fediverse url (especially lemmy one) and pull that particular post to reply or like in friendica?
I tried last time but failed. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ

Also my test message from Mastodon. ๐Ÿ˜…

@simpleguy Yeah, there should be a permalink icon and a fediverse icon (at least on desktop) on each post that you can click on for a link. Pasting that in search on any instance 'should' pull up the post or reply. Worked last night for me on Friendica, but just failed right now with a different link for some reason. The same link that failed on Friendica now just worked on my old Mastodon account, though, so could be be a hiccup or a slightly slow server in my case.

@nate0 @fediverse That was reason I left friendica. I thought it can rule Everything and will be best for my current rssified setup. Writing this from Mastodon and it is good so far.
