Learning the alphabet in 4th grade?
4 years old, not 4th grade
My 4 year old is in Kindergarten, no school until he's 6...
Kindergarten is often counted as school.
But why? It's different.
But it hardly is. I call it baby jail (except due to where I spent my first few years, I tend to spell jail as gaol)
And now here in California, they are starting "Transitional Kindergarten" or TK for the 4 year olds, before they go to Kindergarten at five. (More focus on reading and writing than a typical Preschool.) TK is offered at the normal public schools, and at most private schools that have K and up.
Guess that's why I was confused
