Reminding me of Resident Evil, Dino Crisis and Devil May Cry is a great first impression.

There were 4 of these games on the PlayStation 2 and one of them has fucking Jean Reno in it michael-laugh

Interesting to see what the quality curve on these will be given they were pumped out in about 5 years

Edit: It's got tank controls and pre-rendered backgrounds pingu-horny

If you can get past the tank controls and prerendered backgrounds, it's a pretty decent game.

My friend got it for me back in highschool, and I was skeptical until I played through a few levels and ended up beating the game.

Have a guide ready for the infamous puzzle, btw, don't want to spoil anymore, but seriously, it will end your game the first time around.

I don't mind those things at all, I love that stuff. It's interesting seeing pre-rendered backgrounds in a PS2 game though, don't recall many (or any) of the PS2 games I played back then having them. While they're cool, they're not the most future-proof. I now have upscaled 1080p character models running around in 480p jpegs

Bwahahah!

That reminds me of watching LOTR and seeing Treebeard in high-def... Hoo-boy...

It's a bit jarring but you get used to it
