On first glance it is very fine working vpn extension. Not the fastest and servers inly from four countries available, but access sites blocked in my country very well. Company is Swiss-based and claims no-logs policy. But they do not have paid options at all. So I am wondering about underwater rocks. Is somebody know more?

Over the past month Amazon and Reddit has blocked all my login attempts when using a VPN.

NOWTV and many other bland websites have also started doing this but this is new frm AMZ and RDT.

I know Amazon had a big phising attack this week it could be related to that but Reddit has no excuse.

They're coming boys.

I have a VPN and I’m trying to watch Netflix by changing my location, now this is easier in other smartTVs but I own a Roku.

The choices I have found is to either connect to VPN to my router, which I can’t do since Fios/Verizon Routers don’t support this or set up a WiFi Hotspot which I can’t due since the only computer I have available right now is a Chromebook which apparently doesn’t support creating Hotspots.

I tried turning the VPN from my Mobile Hotspot but it doesn’t seem to work

I want to set up a vpn from my house. So that if I use it it seems like I’m accessing internet from my place. But I don’t have a spare computer.

Can I use an arduino or something and connect it to my router to set up the network?

Does anyone have any experience with using a VPN save money when booking a package holiday from the UK? I've heard of people using it to get cheaper flights and we have two kids, so I was wondering if the website thinks you are in another country will it give us cheaper prices during the school holidays? Don't get how it would work as I assume we need to say where we are from and where we are going.

Hi everyone,

I’m using a VPN for the first time for personal use, and I’m facing an issue. I wanted to purchase an annual Netflix subscription from another country because the price there is significantly cheaper due to the parity factor.

However, when I connect to that country using the VPN and check the price, it still shows the original price for my region. I’ve already tried clearing my cookies and history, but it didn’t help.

Has anyone faced this issue before? Any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Hey

Sorry if this is a really stupid question just trying to understand how it works.

If you use for example skype or teams via browser as a guest (not using the app) and you have your VPN turned on.

As I understood your locations is hidden but is everything that is said during the videocall exposed to others via the VPN?

From what I understood VPN only hides who is sending something, not what is actually sent. So is this worse for privacy reasons to use VPN during browser video calls?

Hi all,

A few days ago Prime Video starting detecting my VPN.

I cannot find a solution, all other apps work just not prime.

I've been trying different things to see If it makes a difference but not luck.

I just tried changing networks, so I connected to my mobile hotspot. Then through VPN to prime.

Still detecting the VPN.

Has anyone got any suggestions? Or has been through this issue with prime video before?

Thanks all.

I wanted to watch Brooklyn 99 seasons five through eight and I heard online that it was available on Netflix in the Netherlands, but every time I try to log into my account while a VPN is active it says my password is wrong. Does anyone know of a VPN I can use that won't trigger this? Sorry if y'all get posts like this a lot

So i was just using a vpn and the killswitch got triggered. It said something along the lines of i cant have more than 10 devices active when i only have one. Should i be concerned? Whats the protocol when a killswitch triggers? Should i power down my device?

About maybe 1 week after I started a VPN on my laptop using the Wifi, the Wifi just stopped working. For some reason, the ethernet still works fine. When we reset the router, it would come back for a few minutes, then stop working. We even called Bell and had them fix it. They found no problems with the phone line and they switched the router and even got it to work to the point I went to bed. They told us to keep all Ethernet cords not plugged in because they said that might be the problem. But when I just woke up today, I learned the Wifi was back down. It was working for maybe around 12 hours though. The Modem that we are using is Bell 3000. I believe my dad said they switched it a total of 4 times using the same model before they got it to work again.

They also said it's possible it could be hackers. That gave me the idea that if a wifi connection be shutdown by hackers which means it would be a wireless problem, could a VPN do the same thing? I know a VPN encrypts your internet connection to a remote server and masks your IP address and the Wifi went down about 1 week I started using a VPN using the wifi. However, My desktop was also using a VPN but it was using it for about 2 months. My desktop is also connected with ethernet. So maybe using a VPN with a wifi signal cause problems? I'm using ethernet on my laptop to make this post but I only plugged in the ethernet after the wifi went back down today. I just turned my VPN off on both my laptop and desktop to see if the wifi goes down again the next time they plan on "fixing it" do you think the VPN could have anything to do with this?

I donate to Wikipedia every December. This year I upped the amount to $15 and when I went to the checkout I was told it was only $11.60 instead. It seems I had inadvertently donated $15 CANADIAN since my VPN was in Toronto at the time! 🤪

Sorry Wikipedia, you get screwed this year!

I have family spread all over that use me for supporting all manner of technical devices and not just their computers / phones that I can use a remote assistance tool. I am trying to determine what would be the best solution to be able to remotely access their networks to help support all the other components. I've tried using the built in OpenVPN into their netgear routers but most of the time it fails to connect, or when it does it is incredibly slow.

I was looking at a hardware solution because they don't have computers they keep on 24/7, but if there was another software solution that would work I wouldn't be opposed. Is something like Pi VPN going to be my best bet or would it be better to use something like the dedicated site to site VPN tunneling hardware out there, or anything else?

Some months I'll be in their networks basically daily and other times it can be months before I need to login, so I'm also looking for something that is low maintenance.

I'd also prefer it if I could remotely access my home network from their locations as well.

I don't mind spending the money for a quality product, but at the same time I don't want to overbuy.

I know the rules prevent asking for specic product recommendations but if I could at least get a good direction, I would appreciate it.

Personal phone, not work device, no work apps or other software on it.

On work wifi network - I assume they can see that you’re on a vpn, but not your acitivity?

I have a Windows server set up for VPN connections. After configuring the settings, some iPhone devices can successfully connect to the VPN, but others, such as an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The configurations in the images are in windows firewall inside ipsec settings

I've set up a vpn on my router. My main aim for getting one was so I could run my smart tv from different locations and view tv from different countries.

Now it is up and running, how do I change the location of the vpn?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I have an issue using a VPN to see content from another country in Mubi/Disney+ app. When I tried to share the screen with my TV, it went black (only happens when I am connected to the VPN). I think there is a problem related to DRM, but I don't know how to solve it.

The easy solution is downloading the content, but I am curious about how to vulnerate the DRM, if possible (and the Mubi catalog from Latin America is quite different from the US, and some movies are really hard to find even in torrent)

Okay, I took a job that will let me work out of the US. My employer knows about it. It's an agency through a big company. However he told me I'm responsible for my own vpn. He said he has never done it before. I bought a travel router. Now I am moving, so I will no longer have internet here in the US. Will the travel router still work for me? If not, do I just go with a vpn and hope that works. This is my first time doing this, so a little clueless right now.

I got a beryl AX travel and a Flint 2 router which my friend set up at his place in Miami. They have a 500mbps down/up connection, and I get great internet in brazil.

I get really good speeds but for whatever reason the ping is just awful. I can hardly do a zoom call.

  • I'm using Wireguard, not OpenVpn
  • I tried connecting to the vpn directly from my laptop, and the ping is still horrible
  • My friend can connect to it with really good ping from 50 miles away

What are some things I could do to speed up the ping? I realize geography isn't working in my favor.

Cheers.

Does anyone know how to bypass region locking with a VPN on Spotify? I downloaded a free version of a VPN and I know it's working because I can access YouTube and Netflix Japan, but for some reason it won't work with my Spotify. I'm located in the US and use a family plan for Spotify Premium.

I am planning to travel abroad, specifically to America. I am currently located in Canada. While traveling, I will not be carrying any official devices, but I will have my personal phone with me.

My personal phone has Microsoft Teams and Outlook installed on it. If I use VPN while abroad, will these apps still be able to track my location and my work be able to tell that I’m not in Canada? I need to be away just for one day.

Sorry if this is a noob question—I am just a little worried and new to using VPNs. I want to make sure I understand how this works before I travel. I would really appreciate any insights or experiences regarding this. Thanks in advance!

I have a company iPhone which I also use as a personal phone. My knowledge of networks and VPNs is somewhat rudimentary but my goal is to access my home cameras, computers, and other devices, and to route all iPhone traffic through my home network if feasible.

What is the best method to achieve this, should I purchase a router with a VPN feature? And if so, are there any reasonably priced ones I should know about?
