Hi,

I am currently a member of U2 and I would like to know all the trackers I can follow from U2 (with detailed requests if possible).

Thanks!

That's all, I am truly bored with looking at the default themes available. Any help would be very appreciated.

I used to be active there and got my pc(s) setup after a rough last few years, I went to checkup on some of the private trackers I used to use - and it seems cartoon chaos is indeed gone eh? Good thing I got all the 90s shit they had lol But yeah anyone got the story on what happened?

Note that this is not about the tracker itself.

Note that GGn for GGn in this poll i am merely referring to their required ratio and share score system and not their other systems like hit & run rules for people who are not elite gamer or higher.

Let's see how many people are going to vote incorrectly here.

While purely looking at upload and download doesn't tell the whole story regarding how much people are contributing looking at actual upload is still a good system in general.

The ratio system is unfair to people with bad internet

Sure if you have a bad internet on RED you will have a hard time there obviously but you actually want people to get good upload speed, make themselves connectable, etc.

Sure having a single seeder unconnectable seeder at 1Mbps is still a lot better than not being able to download at all but having to wait hours before you actually get what you started downloading is far from an ideal situation.

The ratio system does reward uploading (even if there was no bounty) by you getting at least ratio 1 if it got snatched.

The ratio system does reward long-term seeding since by seeding a torrent long enough you will probably get someone downloading from you. The fewer seeds a torrent has the more upload you are likely to get if someone snatches it, thus the ratio system naturally inventivizes seeding of low seeded torrents.

The ratio system rewards racing with seedboxes too much

This might be true but you can simply make adjustments to rectify that if it's actually a problem. I did read about CGpeers already having a system for that.

Having a seeding bonus can make things worse

If people get a lot of bonus points from seeding there will be less need for them to get upload which will lower the inventive to seed long term or upload.

RED for example have better seeded torrents than OPS (and also a lot more of them).

Compromise: required ratio based on how much you are seeding

There are a lot of different options here some of which has already been implemented.

RED has lower required ratio if you seed more up to the point where you have downloaded 100GiB.

GGn has no required ratio as long as you seed enough (regardless of how much you have downloaded).

Are there any trackers left with a solid Dutch library? My wife is complaining that I can only find international stuff. But the Dutch stuff is nowhere to be found.

And when the wife is unhappy.....

From Discord:

"As of v6.5.0, all major features for v6 has been implemented. Most recently, autoResumeMaxDownload, enhanced blocklist, and seasonFromEpisodes. You will need to add these options to your config if you migrated during v6 launch.

cross-seed is now complete in terms of finding cross seeds, future development will go towards expanding support for more user setups. If you have been using nightly, we appreciate your help testing and recommend switching to latest going forward."

https://www.cross-seed.org/

If you aren't already using cross-seed and are on multiple trackers with video, highly recommend trying it out. For a little setup cost you can be seeding the same shows and movies to many trackers, and if you have an arr stack/autobrr it only gets better from there. Partial matching was also added in v6 for sites that have external subs, nfo's, or even samples included, and it works great to find matches in those cases. Just be careful, as some sites might have altered video files which can cause issues, but most good trackers will not have that issue.

If you're still using v5 or lower, check out the migration guide to v6 as there was many new features beyond what I listed added in v6 and a few changes that for niche setups will require some changes.

Notifiarr (zerobytes.monster)

I wanted to see if Notifiarr would be a good tool to add to my stack - already using radarr, sonarr, lidarr, prowlarr, and qbittorrent. (I actually first became aware of notifiarr as a replacement for recyclarr).

I am not actually sure where notifiarr excels - it seems to do a ton of stuff, so much so that I don't think you can summarize where it fits into a home media server setup.

If you use notifiarr, what do you use it for? What tool(s) has it replaced in your setup? Would you miss it if it was not here?

How much do you download?

I am not sure if writing this is even going to do any good given how many people who line up to join sites with bad policies (to the point where you have to be torrentmaster to join BTN, etc).

What we can do is to avoid sites that has bad policies and support sites with good policies (uploading, seeding, donating, etc).

You can also try suggestion something you view as a better system to an existing tracker to see if they deem in worth implementing (the details will depend on the tracker in question, whether or not they have a decently working economy, etc).

Let's say i grab i download some torrent on RED only to delete it right away after i downloaded it, did that actually hurt anyone?

All i did was to waste my own buffer while some seeders get more instead. There is no real harm here. The main loser would be me since then i would have less buffer to spend on music i actually want (RED doesn't have any H&R rules).

Of course it is better if people seed generally but having someone seed say 2 weeks really isn't much better than having them seed 2 seconds. We need people who seed for years.

User A: seeds everything for 5 days (or whatever the H&R minimum is), then deletes it.

User B: seeds 50% forever and delete 50% shortly after downloading it.

H&R rules punishes user B but not user A even though user B is actually much better for the site.

There was even someone who got banned from HUNO when moving files to seed from another location, all that did was to push the user towards sites that are actually good and have one less seeder available for those torrents afterwards.

Looking at seeding percentage is better but still not ideal

Seeders are less important if there are more of them.

Some torrents are also more important than others and that isn't just about the size of the torrent.

Low seed freeleech/freeload might be a better option for keeping torrents alive

On RED they have had freeload events where low seeded torrents get marked as "freeload" which rewards people who were already seeding them.

GGn has a system where low seed torrents automatically gets marked as freeleech until someone snatch it.

RED has community efforts going on to help single seeded torrents to get snatched.

Generally i do not watch movies. If i do watch a movie it's almost always anime (often for some franchise i am already invested into).

I have considered downloading some movies mainly to gain access to some audio clips i can use for stuff (you can use audacity for that). I actually downloaded a movie once due to being interested in the soundtrack but then when i listened to it it didn't sound right, something was off, then i found out the audio wasn't actually lossless.

Sometimes there is some TV stuff i get interested in that isn't anime but even then i tend to lose interest pretty quickly. Often youtube has what i am looking for and i am not sure how much quality matters there anyway.

Looking at BTN, PTP and HDB the most interesting option for me is probably HDB since they do not have H&R rules and they have both TV and movies in high quality. I do like being able to quickly delete something i have downloaded if i really didn't like it (even if i keep most for long-term seeding) and even if i only seed say 60% on some tracker that should be enough with 1Gbps upload speed, etc.

It's going to take some time before i can join HDB mainly due to my RED account not being 2 years old yet. I might also have to limit how much i spend on requests to meet the 500 GiB upload minimum.

One issue with HDB is that you are limited to high definition only (not sure if that is 1080p+ or 720p+) which means that there might be stuff you want that they don't have. There is BTN but then you have to put up with H&R rules and having to donate to get immunity from inactivity pruning.

There is so many other trackers that you can just go to and get torrents.. (Piratebay etc)... WHat would be the Brazilian version of Piratebay?? Why do so many of the BR and PO trackers need invites? Lame...

I'm looking for the US or UK Reader's Digest magazine online. I found some on MAM but about 95% are dead. I'm happy to pay if that's the only way, but so far, I haven't found any legitimate online services that provide Reader's Digest. Thanks.

I recently joined OPS via interview, these days I have time to discover the site, I found a lot of music uploaded are lossless flac format, rare for single mp3 group, I find some cloud resource to upload but only mp3 format, I want to rank up to the TM it will needs 500 uploads, seems no extra restritions, but why people are all uploading lossless music?it seems only me uploading single mp3 group, will I be reach TM if only upload 500+ mp3 format?

Hey, I'm in my early days of private trackers with TL and HUNO but I'm looking for UK content specifically. I've seen a few people talk about TVChaosUK but can't figure out any path I'd be able to take to get in. Any suggestions for others or advice?

I have a system that doesn’t support DTS (can’t even play it) so their extra audio files are very useful to me. If extra audio files bloating releases is their only problem, I wouldn’t have an issue.

I understand this is like the 50th time this thread has been posted. But its a big issue. If you want to delete it go ahead though.

I just downloaded 20 freeleech newly released TL torrents and they are all downloading, I am downloading at 18 MB/s total usage - but seeding, I am getting like 20 kB/s.

I see some people saying they used autobrr and freeleech and got TBs of upload.

Seems to me like public trackers are almost better and I dont mean that in a negative way at all, its just my experience so far. I cant even use TorrentLeech, because I am not able to upload anything, so I am not allowed to download anything! Lol

EDIT: Its probably worth noting, I have a 24/7 plex server with *arrs and can seed 24/7. (I know, compared to most on PTs, this is actually a shitty setup) - This is my first ever PT, and I always try to download small sized movies - e.g. Oppenheimer 2GB, because all my streaming from plex is remote. I might have to start switching to larger torrent filesizes to avail of FL and just let it transcode for everyone.

My tracker: Torrentleech

I have a question! If I get VIP access for a day or two, how can I make the most of it?

I have an old PC that I’m using as a seedbox. Its capacity is 400GB (I know it’s too low, and I plan to upgrade). I started using it yesterday, and it’s already completely filled. I only download FL (Freeleech) content, so I seed them for at least 10 days to avoid HNR (Hit and Run). However, these torrents usually give me uploads only in the first 5-6 hours.

Given this setup, I have a few questions: If I get VIP, can I remove all these torrents without seeding for 10 days and still avoid being charged for HNR? This way, I could download new content, seed it for 5 hours, then delete and replace it. Do you think this is an efficient way to utilize 1 or 2 days of VIP?

Title. I'm brand new to private trackers. I managed to get on HD Space through open signups, but missed TL. Someone on discord offered me an invite, but they're asking for my email (which is a burner anyway). Is this the normal process? I assumed they would just send me an invite code via dm
