So I have decided to lay out some guidelines for the post format on this community.

The first guidelines is that the title of a post should include the news story title and then the name of the publication. Here is an example of that format Example title | Example Publication.

Then if you want to give your opinion on the story you can do so after marking opinion in the post body. Here is an example of that format: Opinion: This story could have wide ranging implications for the tech industry.

Thank you to everyone who posts to this community and I hope you agree with these guidelines.

Over the years news search engine of Google and Bing has become increasingly useless, where even quoting specific keywords of news I know exists yields no result and I am choked with unrelated trendy local news. So, I am looking for a better news search engine (bonus if it also searches blogs and is able to differentiate as well).

The article argues that some federal government intervention earlier during WWII jump-started the tech innovations we saw from the 1950s to 1970s.

It also talks about how the Internet seems to be the only really new game-changing innovation since the 80s and seeks to explain why this is the case.

Among other things, of course, such as the nature of "tech clusters" such as Silicon Valley and Austin, Texas.

Opinion: I am sad to see more consolidation in the UK broadband space. This also will be annoying for Upp customers who will be switched to Virgin.

Opinion: Seems that Reddit are trying to IPO again. This clearly isn't good news for user privacy on reddit.

Opinion: Personally, I feel Meta's intentions when it comes to the Fediverse are most likely to be anything but innocent.
