In one week it happened twice, once to my friend and once to myself. Me and my friend were walking out of a restaurant when a group of middle aged women called out to my friend “hey little man”. He is short and I think a bit self conscious about it, but he’s got some other very obvious descriptors like his beard, but they wouldn’t even need that as it was just me and him walking past. Anyway they called out to him to ask him to take a photo of them, which he declined and walked out.

Later in the week I was on my way to catch a train, walked past a water-aid stand. It had been a particularly windy day and heavy winds can tangle my curly hair, so needless to say it looked awful. The lady at the water-aid stand calls out to me “hey man with the amaaaazing hair”, like thanks I can’t control the wind. Told her I was busy and kept going.

Anyway not day ruining stuff, I but I thought it might fit mildly infuriating.

A quick recap (since I don't know how to get the link to work, sorry!) a coworker called out 20 minutes after they were supposed to be at work saying that they are going to Vegas for 2 weeks and that she "forgot" to tell someone and also that she would return as she isn't quitting.

Well, she came back. As in. Walked into the employee break room, attempted to clock in and go to work. I say attempted to because the clock popped up a warning that she had just performed an invalid action as her employee number was no longer active, but she wasn't paying attention and didn't even notice. She then proceeded to go to the sales floor and start doing stuff. A few coworkers noticed and called the manager on duty who had to take her to the office and explain multiple times why she doesn't work there anymore. She finally understood what was being said when he told her to leave her vest and go home unless she has shopping to do, as a customer.

Lots of people tried saying that her intentions were to quit or that the call in was her "notice" but apparently that was not the case. At least not intentionally lol 😂

My fiancé and I bought a house together in early November. We love the house. Love the neighborhood. Love the location.

We haven't been able to move in yet because we are remodeling a few things.

Today while we were there, I opened the wifi on my phone and the first one to pop up (meaning the closest signal) was called "ex's wife's name & ex's name" and my jaw hit the floor. Like, what are the odds that there's another couple with those names and those exact spellings? Pretty slim.

I asked Google where my ex lives and, sure enough, it was an address on the street right behind ours. I looked at the satellite view and, sure enough, it's the house directly behind ours. We share a rock wall. The houses are tiered so we can see into his backyard which I hope means he doesn't have a great view of our house. I'd like to avoid my ex finding this out for as long as possible.

We didn't end on great terms but we're adults. We've both moved on. We're friendly when we run into each other. I harbor no ill will and wish him the best but we definitely don't need to be in each other's lives.

It's not the end of the world, but what are the fuckin odds?!
