Just wondering: recently I want to try ivpn and.. it’s turned out that ivpn app doesn’t available for download on iOS in the region where my iCloud account belongs to. Why?

Customers who signed up before Nov 2020 will not be able to log in to the IVPN Client area and apps briefly on 16th August. Maintenance starts at 8.30am UTC, planned to take 1-4 hours. VPN service is unaffected when already logged in to apps.

IVPN accounts affected are those using email and password to log in. Accounts created after November 2020 (using account ID as an identifier) are not affected and should be able to log in to , IVPN apps and perform account related actions.

I'm on the latest Windows version and the latest IVPN version. My connection is completely normal btw, I can browse the internet without any difficulties. For some reason Windows just doesn't like the always-on Firewall and tries to lie to me lol.

We have officially changed the name of the company operating IVPN from Privatus Limited to IVPN Limited. Ownership structure, jurisdiction, address and administrative registration details are unchanged.

The reason for this move is to bring our product and brand name into alignment, reducing confusion and providing clarity to customers, partners and other parties about the operator of the service.

To reiterate, this change only concerns the name of the company, and has no effect on:

  • Ownership structure of the company
  • Team behind IVPN
  • Registration number or other company details
  • Gibraltar jurisdiction, registered address
  • Legal guidelines, processes for data requests and transparency reports

In the coming days, we will update the company name on various assets of IVPN, including, but not limited to, different pages of our website, apps, and GitHub pages.

Open text editor of choice, copy code, save as OmegaOptions.bak. Then import this into the app.

For the noobs, here is a screenshot of where you import the backup file. Just select 'restore from file' and select OmegaOptions.bak or whatever you saved the file as.

Hopefully this works, if not I can host the file on some site for you to download. If I do have to turn it into a file and host it somewhere, check the code so you know it's trustworthy and not malicious. Hopefully this method works just fine though.

I have 'quick switch' enabled by default, anytime you click on the icon for switchyomega, it will change to a different proxy.

Regarding the TunnelCrack paper published recently: IVPN apps were not tested by the researchers, and unlike other providers, we have not received a vulnerability disclosure in advance. We are investigating the findings and will issue a detailed response after our evaluation.

You can find the research paper and summary of issues here:

Based on a first review we can conclude "LocalNet Attack" can be mitigated by disabling Local Network Access in VPN apps.

If you are concerned about that attack vector, we suggest unchecking 'Allow LAN traffic' in the Firewall settings in the IVPN apps (except iOS) when connecting to networks you do not trust. This feature is disabled by default - no action is required unless you enabled it.

We will update this thread with a link to the detailed response.

Currently, what I am wanting to do is log out of ivpn from my desktop which is powered on at home, but I am hundreds of miles away. Per the instructions of another user on this sub, and through -h in the CLI, I have tried the commands "ivpn login -force" and "ivpn login ACCOUNT-ID -force", but neither is being accepted. The first command says "unable login" as I am already logged in, and the second says "Error: bad parameter".

Am I missing a command or some easier way to accomplish this? Please help me out and thank you in advance.

Latest IVPN app versions are out on all platforms, featuring quantum-resistant WireGuard connections, and an improved AntiTracker where you can pick from 3 combined or 7 popular individual block lists.

IVPN for Desktop releases (v3.11.14 for macOS, Linux, v3.11.15 for Windows) contain further improvements and fixes, eg. Pause/Resume connections from CLI, and OpenVPN and WireGuard updates. Manual updates are now available for desktop apps. Full changelog:

My company updated Zscaler, and now when I activate IVPN firewall, nothing works. I can connect to IVPN and get a better connection speed, but without the IVPN firewall, I am restricted to Zscaler policy, which sucks. Does anybody know a way to circumvent Zscaler?

I've just wondered if there's an intention to upgrade the server in Israel or add more servers to it (currently there's only one with 100 MBPS I guess). During the last weeks it became impossible to use it from afternoon to evening hours. This cause me change to a server in another country or move to Proton VPN if I need a server in Israel (for example, to watch Israeli TV which isn't available from abroad). I also believe that because people need to leave this server for an alternative one when it is too busy you cannot see the whole picture through your systems.

For those who will prefer to use UGOS, tonight I was able to successfully transcode simultaneously on Plex and Jellyfin with the 4800Plus and 480T. Their first implementation of Docker is good, and the UI is simple and quite powerful.

With iOS devices, I’ve been noticing that when the vpn connection stops when you turn your screen off (and phone is idle for a while), when the phone reconnects, it can’t connect to Wi-Fi.

In fact, there is no connection at all. No cellular, no Wi-Fi. The phone keeps saying there is no internet connection. You have to do a hard reset every time this happens to regain the ability to connect to cellular or wifi.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I am having some problems setting up split tunneling.

help command

How should I understand the examples? Should I provide a path to .deb file?

I tried to navigate to /lib/ directory, I don't have it in /bin/ like it stays in the 3rd example, but no success:

I've also checked my permissions and changed them to 777 using chmod.

My Plex is installed using docker, if it matters.

I am starting to lose it with a thing that's supposed to take 5 min tops :|
