  1. Titles should be in the format "[Title]" by [Artist]
    • If adding the artists social media handle after their name, use [square brackets]
    • If adding a year after the title, use (parenthetical brackets)
    • If posting your own art, preface the title with [OC]

  5. Mark posts as NSFW when necessary (nudity/violence)

Artist: Jomar Machado | artstation

FYI: Minor research into Jomar Machado's earlier works shows progression prior to using AI to make this current centerpiece (the car). I can't say the same for the backdrop though.

FYI: Title says AI, however minor research into Jomar Machado's earlier works shows how the centerpiece (the car), is taken from his own work. I can't say the same for the backdrop though.

Source with more images: Taura RPG Chapter Breaks (by Javier Charro - ArtStation)

Chapter break illustrations done on 2017 for a steampunk-alchemy RPG called Taura and published by Nosolorol.
I tried a different technique for this book using some inks and colors. Taura is a dark victorian setting where some people use technology and alchemy to achieve their purposes, sometimes with unexpected results. Automatons, chimeras, and all kind of mixed creatures inhabit this world.

Hero Prop assignment at Think Tank Training Centre was my first attempt at creating a game-ready asset and all its challenges. Happy with the result! Inspired by: https://boh-forse-mah.tumblr.com/post/171303027866/functional-homemade-steampunk-computer-made-of

Source: 任天堂掌机来自于1920s——Retro Nintendo Handheld Game Console from the 1920s (by IWSE Zhang - ArtStation)

Description

来自于1920s年代的任天堂游戏机,使用了拨号型电话、手摇传声机、老式打字机、IBM的储存卡等等元素进行结合,在这张画中,我使用了大量的精力去刻画质感尤其是钥匙初类似与钢琴的釉色金属质感,还有以纸质打孔资料卡形式的卡带也很有意思(最早的记忆是来自于荒野大镖客2中自动弹奏的钢琴用的也是这种琴谱)——In this illustration of a Nintendo game console from the 1920s, I combined elements such as a rotary dial telephone, a hand-cranked gramophone, an old-fashioned typewriter, and IBM storage cards. I devoted a lot of effort to capturing textures, especially the enamel-metallic finish of the keys that resembles a piano. The cartridge, in the form of a paper-punched data card, is also interesting (my earliest memory of it was from playing Red Dead Redemption 2, where the self-playing piano used this type of sheet music).

Source: Steampunk Astrolabe Table with Ui (by Davison Carvalho - ArtStation)

Description

Twitter: https://twitter.com/colorblindmess
Back in April 2016 I was about to join Ready at Dawn as Lead Ui Artist and I was in the middle of some Concept art for Doctor Strange, so I felt I need to learn more 3D, I’m not a 3D artist so I needed to practice a bit since it would help the Ui work in general at RAD. So I went to try making a device design that relied only on mechanical parts powered by vapor (steam), no sci-fi energy techy glowy lights, only natural light, optics and vapor! I went full steampunk on this inspired by Orrery, Astrolabes, Steampunk tech, Watch mechanisms and Tabletop games. Note that it's an Orrery / Astrolabe but not for our galaxy. I made everything in Modo and Illustrator. Visually Inspired by Steampunk, Old furniture, Watches, The Order 1886. My PC couldn’t render this, so now 10 months later and with a new PC, I was able to make some basic renders Hope you like it!

Description

Steampunk Computer writes on Lorenz LO-15

Steampunk Computer controls a teleprint and uses it as a printer. The computer sends a 5-bit code to the receive magnet of the recorder. This then prints the sent information purely mechanically on paper. The data set can also be encoded into a perforated strip. > The teletype can receive current data from around the world via the PC as an interface, emails, weather news, RSS feeds, etc. and is able to print text documents sent to it by the computer.

Umlauts and capital letters are not possible, the printable line length is also limited to 65 characters. Currently, 2 devices are in use. The Lorenz was recently joined by a Siemens T37. This has also been completely prepared and controlled via an interface. Both devices and the computer unit will be presented to dievers exhibitions. Conditions for rental please ask.

Here an illustration I did for the group Steampunk Tendencies.
It was a challenge to do it with a tight time schedule, but the result between polished and more painted areas are something I really would like to dig.
I rediscovered the love for machines, rust and steam, and know can't stop drawing that ^^

If you don't know this group and you are a fan of steampunk don't hesitate to have a look [broken Google Plus link]

Made with Photoshop.

Source: Steampunk Ship: Brassheart by Roseum

Hi folks!

Here is my new piece. This was one of those never ending projects of mine, because this time i wanted to experiment and try some new techniques. More specific, very detailed LINEART! Not a technique i will use again i think, too time consuming... DX . But i'll definitely do similar pieces again.

Anyway, one of my favorite themes, Steampunk!

Cheers!
