Critic Reviews

GBAtemp - Ben Sellwood - 9 / 10

As marble games go this has to be the best of the best. With so much variety, intricate level design, online multiplayer and weekly challenges to keep you coming back Marble it up! Ultra is hands down the best of its breed out there right now.

GamingTrend - Jack Zustiak - 70 / 100

Marble It Up! Ultra applies the theory of controlled chaos to platformer design. It doles out exciting moments and frustrations in relatively equal measure thanks to the ambiguous nature of its marble physics. This unique juxtaposition often proves likable even if it can occasionally be hard to love.

God is a Geek - Lyle Carr - 8.5 / 10

Marble It Up! Ultra is good old fashioned ball rolling fun, and if racing past obstacles is your idea of a good time then you're in luck.

Nintendo Life - Em Stonham - 7 / 10

The visuals are fun and lively, and the sound design is great. The marbles sound incredibly realistic and the noise of them on ice is oddly satisfying. While the gameplay loop of this title might not be for everyone, it does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a vibrant, snappy game that offers a nice handful of content for both single players and people looking to play with friends. Super Monkey Ball fans will get a kick out of it, too.

NintendoWorldReport - Neal Ronaghan - 8.5 / 10

While the multiplayer might not be something that stays populated, the leaderboards do a great job of extending the experience beyond the campaign. And also the terse challenge of the bonus chapters and weekly challenges adds to the fun. It's a (marble) blast to see this come together as well as it does.

PlayStation Universe - Joe Richards - 7.5 / 10

Despite some small hiccups with the general presentation of the game, Marble It Up! Ultra offers a fully featured package of over 100 intricately designed obstacle courses for players to learn and overcome.

Push Square - Graham Banas - 7 / 10

Generally, the game is packed to the absolute brim with content, and it's a blast to play, even if it never sees fit to reinvent the wheel.

SVG - Sam Watanuki - 7 / 10

"Marble It Up! Ultra's" single-player campaign and multiplayer modes provide plenty reason to get friends and family together for some marble-based fun.

Try Hard Guides - Erik Hodges - 9 / 10

Marble It Up! Ultra is a nostalgic gateway into marble-bouncing fun. While it could easily be a sequel, Ultra comes free for anyone who owns Marble It Up!, generously tripling the amount of fun available for fans of the 2018 classic. With simple mechanics and a lot of physics-based fun, the game asks just one important question: What more do you need?

Video Chums - A.J. Maciejewski - 4 / 5

I'm delighted that Marble It Up! Ultra continues the trend that its predecessors set as it's one super-fun formula that'll keep you hooked.

XboxEra - Genghis Husameddin - 8.8 / 10

With a strong control scheme and physics alongside a solid variety of content, Marble It Up! Ultra is a fantastic addition to the arcade slash platforming-lovers library.

I was thinking about this while talking about WoW with an old friend. We played together in Vanilla and TBC. That game got me out of military FPS and into fantasy, but it also got me into fantasy novels, film, and even traveling to places of spectacular natural beauty, like Switzerland and Ireland. It had a lot of influence on my mentality toward teamwork, coordination, planning, and project execution. And it made me deeply appreciative of a wider variety of music, when before I was exclusively interested in rock.

In a way, I feel like Wow helped me develop as a person. Did any games do something like this for you?
