Facts and figures

At the time of closing, the thread had ~4263 comments. The tipping bot sent out >1600 tips of 0.05 Nano each. Add to that the 550 + 15 Nano sent out for the winners, and a total of ~645.6 XNO was sent out. All community funded!

Since this was done with Nano, 0 fees were paid for these 1600+ transactions, and every transaction sent was fully confirmed within a single second.

Proof of transactions & random selection

Here is the account used to tip the majority of the comments:

After >24 hours, we used RedditRaffler connected to my account (u/qwahzi), excluding myself & JanelleFlamboyant:

Then since RedditRaffler doesn't allow a 2nd raffle on the same post, we exported the users to Google Sheets and chose 3 random numbers with RANDBETWEEN:

For those that missed it

I've been looking at the 1W Bitcoin chart and noticed a recurring pattern: after every all-time high (ATH) above $60,000, there's a significant price correction in the range of 50-70%. This happened in 2021 after the April peak, and again in 2022 following the 2021 November ATH.

Considering we reached a new ATH this March, and the price has been forming lower highs and lower lows since then, it makes me wonder: are we heading for another major downturn?

Historically, Bitcoin has experienced these cycles, especially after halving events. However, there are other factors to consider this time around:

  • Increased Market Maturity: Bitcoin has gained more mainstream acceptance and institutional adoption. Could this potentially dampen volatility?
  • Macroeconomic Uncertainty: Global economic conditions are playing a role, and these are different from previous cycles.
  • Regulatory Scrutiny: Increased regulation could impact investor sentiment.

Personally, I'm a bit anxious, especially after my experience with Mt. Gox. I'm hoping to avoid another major crash, but I also know that anything is possible with Bitcoin.

What do you all think? Are we in for another deep correction, or are there reasons to be more optimistic this time?

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share a heads-up about a potential phishing scam I received. I got a text message claiming to be from Binance, inviting me to participate in their "Tombola Binance RO" raffle. The message included a link: binance.aets-withdrawal.com.

Red flags:

  • Suspicious link: The link in the message doesn't look like a legitimate Binance URL.
  • Official-looking number: While the sender's number might seem official, scammers often use spoofing techniques to make their messages appear legitimate.
  • Urgency: The message creates a sense of urgency, urging you to participate immediately.

Stay safe:

  • Never click on links in unsolicited messages. If you're unsure about a message, go directly to the official Binance website or app to check for any promotions or raffles.
  • Verify the sender's identity. Be cautious of messages from unknown numbers, even if they appear to be from a reputable company.
  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Binance account. This adds an extra layer of security and makes it harder for scammers to access your account.

Remember: Binance will never ask you for your private information or passwords via text message or email. If you receive a suspicious message, report it to Binance's customer support immediately.

Let's stay vigilant and protect ourselves from these scams!

If you look closely, there are two horizontal black lines on these charts. Every single time we cross it, it takes weeks if not months to get back to the other side. It's just a very heavy resistance and support. And we're sitting right on that line right now.

The fact that we started pumping over the weekend while the stock market was closed means that this is a local event. These local events generally return to Friday's average price or pivot point before stock market reopens on Monday.

From a geometric standpoint, we are inside a bearish broadening megaphone. These things generally just make a shoulder and we end up breaking much lower.

Anyways, I added the link at the top. It has all the charts. The charts are pretty clear as to why we should be shorting right now.
