Is bitcoin going to be upgraded anytime soon to protect against quantum computing? It appears we are on the cusp of military grade encryption being cracked. I’m worried that when this does happen if crypto currencies haven’t prepared in advance that we would have a complete financial meltdown.

I've had the pleasure of getting into crypto in April 2021. Basically the highest point in history of most all assets

Over the past 3.5 years I've been DCA' ing my 50 to 90 % down Alts and hovering ETH and BTC

On April 2021 the Market cap was 3T, going up to 3.3 a few months later. Then as we all know crypto winter hit and we went down to 800B

Over the last 3 years we crash to 1 trillion ish when many get liquidated, then climb almost to 2.8T, then liquidations happen aagain.

Im.a rookie, but it seems like the TRILLION is real money and the rest is margin ed and we never go up.

Maybe this bull run hopefully will change but was just wondering if this is logical. Whales manipulating their base money and a stagnant 1T market.

I recently had to buy merchandise from overseas and between conversion fees and wire fees, I spent over 10% of the total sum in fees. Oh yeah, it also took a WEEK to get there.

It would have been as expensive as buying / sending ether but it takes 150 times longer. Outrageous.

This hit me hard, as with crypto you can send it all over the world with very little overhead, so I thought, what would it take for businesses to accept crypto ?

The only bottleneck I could think of would be the CEX's, as it happens often that they freeze accounts on a whim etc. But if the CEX is just used as a transition platform, this effect would be pretty mitigated, right ?

So, what would be the hold-back for a business to put that in place ? As far as I understand, there shouldn't be any regulatory issues since it would be the same as buying/selling merchandise trough Tradfi, but there would just be the CEX middleman.
