Hi guys!

I’m 19 years old, I started to work sales for a tech events company full time a couple months ago. I’ve been researching into crypto for about few months now as I want to be smart with my money and due to not being old enough, I’ve missed out on a lot of crypto opportunities previously, I don’t want to miss out on any more. I’m fortunate enough to live with my parents, allowing for me to save 66% of my income, and I’m also fortunate enough to have a pretty crypto-savvy dad.

My current plan is to not expect any gains from this crypto cycle - I’m too late and too inexperienced. If I get any, that’s great, but I’m not banking on it. I’m pretty disciplined with my money so FOMO won’t be an issue. I want to start planning long term about crypto investing and who better to get advice from than 9 million internet strangers lol. Current plan is to invest in a couple of alt coins with 50% of the 66%, and DCA out in set increments I predetermine to not get greedy. The other 50% I’m wondering whether I should keep in FIAT currency until the bear in a year or two or should I put it into bitcoin?

I’m going to get a cold wallet to keep my crypto safe and I have a fresh laptop ready for crypto investments that will be for crypto trading only to prevent scams and hacks.

I realise that I probably won’t make any proper gains till the next cycle, which I’m happy with, but I want to be fully prepared, what should I do to prepare, either this cycle or next cycle, or any tips and advice you can give a young investor whose in it for the long run and is convinced it is going to be the future of currency? Thanks guys and sorry for the plenty of mistaken assumptions in this post.

P.S. I will never leverage

Bitwise, world’s leading crypto index fund manager has published a detailed predictions report for the year 2025. They’ve made 10 ( bullish) predictions on this report:

  1. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana will hit new all-time highs, with Bitcoin trading above $200,000 ( ETH : 7000$ , SOL: 750$ )

  2. Bitcoin ETFs will attract more flows in 2025 than they did in 2024.

  3. Coinbase will surpass Charles Schwab as the most valuable brokerage in the world, and its stock will top $700 per share.

  4. 2025 will be the “Year of the Crypto IPO,” with at least five crypto unicorns going public in the U.S.

  5. Tokens launched by AI agents will spearhead a memecoin mania even bigger than in 2024.

  6. The number of countries holding bitcoin will double.

  7. Coinbase will enter the S&P 500 and MicroStrategy will enter the Nasdaq-100, adding crypto exposure to (nearly) every U.S. investor’s portfolio.

  8. The U.S. Department of Labor will relax its guidance against crypto in 401(k) plans, enabling billions of dollars to flow into crypto assets.

  9. Stablecoin assets will double to $400 billion as the U.S. passes long-awaited stablecoin legislation.

  10. The value of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) will surpass $50 billion as Wall Street’s embrace of crypto intensifies.

Detailed report with data & charts that shows how they’ve reached these conclusions:

I will make this short!

I got into the crypto in 2021. Almost before every token reaches ATH. Bought a good bag of top 10 coins.

During that time, I was most of the time disappointed and sad. sad, that why I got late into the crypto and wished for a crash.

Well, guess what?!! That crash happened. A huge one. I was 90% down on my actual investment. I was so much under pressure and scared of that famous quote; „Crypto is going to zero“, that I forgot my previous wish.

I witnessed Sol going to 10$ and BTC going to 12K. I was there! I fucking saw it! Bu did not dare to take the chance.

And now?!!! And now the rest is history! A 20K worth of investment in Sol in 2023, would have been ~500k of profit, when Sol broke ATH almost a month ago!

Take your chances, people! It’s is possible. You just need to take it.

I’m genuinely curious what are the most popular crypto projects and communities out there that check the boxes of having great utility along with a great community with bullish sentiment. This does not include bitcoin. I want to start getting involved long term in a project or two as an investor and want to see what the community thinks are some great projects (either top 100 or moonshots). I’ve done some research but there are so many it can easily become overwhelming. I’m interested in what people are saying and HODLing.

Hello everyone and welcome to Moon Week for round 55 of Moons! For more information about Moons, please see our wiki page here.

We are using Snapshot for voting directly with the Moon balance in your wallet, in a transparent and open manner. For now all Moons held in self-hosted wallets at the time of poll creation will be eligible to vote, so if you are holding Moons on an exchange, the telegram TipBot or in a wallet that you are not comfortable connecting to snapshot then please be sure to transfer your Moons to a self-hosted wallet that you are comfortable connecting to snapshot before each Moon Week.

To give exposure to our governance polls for the month, this Moon Week post will remain pinned to the top of the subreddit until next Monday. You can see our schedule here. Please review the following important information first:

  • Successful polls are implemented whenever the responsible party has a chance to do it. Usually this is within days or weeks of the poll passing, but depends on workload, priorities, and complexity of implementation. You can look at implementation status on the CCIP list.
  • In the event of incompatible polls passing, the poll with more Moons voting in favor will be considered the winner and the other will not be implemented.

Governance Polls

Here's your poll(s) for this round of Moons:

You can view the full CCIP list here.

Distributions

Due to a technical problem whilst preparing the snapshot, we have to start Moon Week without a snapshot ready. We are working on it and will edit this post to add it very soon so watch this space! This will not impact distribution, which will happen as planned at the end of Moon Week. Thank you for your understanding.
