I've been digging hard on this project, and let me tell you It's hard to follow so many things happening.

But i'd like to share what it has already accomplished

This project has probably the most (outside crypto) use cases already live online, I've seen

Around bittensor there's apps like:

corcel.io LLM

dippy.ai Ai chat bots

bettensor.com/games Sports betting prediction

sn21.ai Voice & Video LLM

dashboard.taoshi.io Predicting markets S&P 500 etc

bitmindid.com Predicting AI image content (also browser extension & twitter bot)

app.goneural.ai/gallery 3D model AI generator

www.macrocosmos.ai/sn25/dashboard Predicting Protein Folding

sybil.com Seach Query (like Google)

And many more...

https://taostats.io/subnets

Barry Silbert has just created a new validator Called Yuma DCG, he's currently offering Staking APR of 17% which you don't have to lock for period of time and they drop at the end of each day.

https://preview.redd.it/j7ublae7wt7e1.png?width=1850&format=png&auto=webp&s=d8bae8f65dd5e974136b07393bd37bcbe83f4459

His new found company Yuma is going to validate the work of miners in many subnets:

SN4: Targon Powers Sybil

SN28: S&P500 Oracle

Sn19: Powering Corcel app

And many more

What it does?

Uses incentives to improve AI models. That's it. Sounds simple but .... it isn't.

The purpose of bittensor is to allow companies or regular individuals to open a subnet that focuses on solving something with AI. Then let the Miners submit the Model & weights, train it & inference to earn TAO as rewards for each query. Validators will regularly check their work and decide which miners are performing well. Thus they also earn tao.

With this in mind they have gathered a decent amount of AI devs ready to Mine tao, and while doing it improving each Subnet output. Making the AI better.

I've been following this project for a year and let me tell you I've noticed many subnets and the platforms using them improving a lot. Bettensor went from hit scores of 50% to 70%. Corcel & subnet19 answers greatly improved for regular user queries & coding.

Bitmind started this summer at predicting AI images amd greatly improved in matter of weeks.

I see why Barry Silbert is keen on shifting his company interest to AI. He prob saw the potential to scale and offer great services on top of this structure.

Right now I see the founders & subnet owners going to big AI events talking to companies about opening their own subnets to solve problems with AI.

Ai is just getting started, and only stock investors have shifted to it, crypto is lagging in this, which makes a great opportunity thus why i shifted to AI in crypto as well

Disclamer: Yes I own this token. No I'm not part of the foundation or anyone involved, just a regular peep

This Has Been the Most Disappointing Bull Market

I’ve been in the crypto space for a while, and I have to say, this has been the most underwhelming bull market I’ve experienced. Sure, BTC is up, and we’re seeing some movement, but it’s nothing like the explosive gains we’ve seen in previous cycles.

Bitcoin has broken new highs in past bull markets, but this time, its growth feels subdued. It’s up, but not dramatically. For many investors, the expectation was that BTC would shatter previous records or at least climb higher at a faster pace by now. Instead, the momentum feels sluggish.

And then there are the altcoins. Historically, altcoins have been where the real action happens during bull markets. In past cycles, we saw massive 10x or even 100x gains in some alts as they rode the coattails of Bitcoin’s success. This time, the majority of alts seem stagnant. Gains, if there are any, have been small and sporadic. Many projects that thrived in the last bull market are still down significantly from their all-time highs. It’s almost as if this cycle forgot to include alt season.

I’m not sure if it’s due to regulatory uncertainty, the evolving macroeconomic environment, or simply a lack of excitement in the market, but something feels off. Even the hype cycles for new projects and narratives (e.g., AI, DeFi 2.0) seem muted compared to the frenzied speculation of previous years.

Is this just a slow start, or are we in a fundamentally different kind of cycle this time? Are others feeling the same way, or is it just me? I’d love to hear your thoughts—are you optimistic about the months ahead, or are we stuck in a lukewarm market for the foreseeable future?

The new darling word 'AI agents' popping up more frequently, now even in healthcare. Given we're in a crypto-focused community, I'm curious how this intersects with the technology we follow here. Specifically, can AI agents make a meaningful difference in healthcare beyond being another buzzword?

From what I understand, these agents could help automate repetitive admin tasks, analyze patient data to improve diagnostic accuracy, and provide more personalized care plans. That sounds great in theory, but healthcare involves highly sensitive information. This is where crypto and blockchain tech might come into play—secure, decentralized storage of medical records could ensure data integrity and privacy, while smart contracts might transparently manage consent and data sharing.

The big question, though, is how effectively these AI agents and underlying tech integrate into existing healthcare systems. Do they blend seamlessly, or create new friction points? And how well do these solutions handle compliance and regulations around patient privacy?

In short, I’m wondering if crypto-based infrastructure can give AI agents the secure, trustworthy environment they need to truly improve healthcare. Anyone have thoughts on this, or examples of projects blending AI agents with blockchain solutions?

Three years ago, Nayib Bukele mocked the IMF because of its crypto discourse. Now, the Bitcoin Law has failed to meet Bukele's promises and forced him to cut a deal with the IMF

https://x.com/nayibbukele/status/1486162932224479235

So, what exactly is going to happen now? Well, salvadoran media is reporting that one of the key conditions drafted by the IMF is to dismantle completely the Chivo Wallet, putting an end to ZERO FEES Bitcoin transactions. Another major blow to the Chivo Wallet, which recently published another all-time low crypto remittances report: Less than 900K was sent from abroad to El Salvador via Chivo Wallet.

Another key condition is to reform Article 7 of the Bitcoin Law, which forced businesses and small shops to accept Bitcoin as payment. There has been a lot of debate about that specific article, some saying the article does not force businesses however there have been reports, back in 2022, of people calling the cops on small shop owners because Bitcoin was not accepted.

Currently, people that voted for Nayib Bukele's reelection are angry and demanding to not take the deal and instead use El Salvador's Bitcoin earning. The reason why Bukele's supporters are angry is because Bukele promised on National TV that we were gonna have so much money that we were gonna have a hard time counting it. Not only that, he promised El Salvador was gonna be independently, financially independently from the IMF.

No official statement has been announced, except for a now deleted tweet posted around 2AM today by Nayib Bukele, in which he blamed George Soros for the failed adoption of Bitcoin in El Salvador.

Since 2020 I'm basically only holding and buying exclusively Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cardano. My initial goal was to achieve a split of around 50/30/20 (BTC/ETH/ADA). But since I loaded up on more Cardano when it was around 0.3$ + also stake 100% of it, Cardano now is 37% of my crypto portfolio.

Normally, I wouldn't even think about it and just reallocate now. But Bitcoin is at new all time highs which are twice as high as in the last bull run. And even though Cardano also pumped crazily it's still far away from all time highs.

Would you reallocate immediately or leave it as is and wait for a few weeks/month?

For "stabilizatio" i mean the price would not move so much in next month (for example XRP will remain in low 2s) and even a 20% oscillation could be considered stable in cripto world. Something like dogecoin last month .

I personally think we are in somewhere like the may 2021 crash, with the market going to crash and recover after months then go definitely bearish.

It could be possible we are the same as the 2021 November peak, but only 3 years lasted from there and may 2024 peak was similar to 2021 bitcoin peak and lot lower than this peak, while may 2021 was 3x higher than 2017 peak and almost the same of November 2021 one

The increasing intersection of cryptocurrency and online romance has birthed a new breed of cyber scams, the most notorious being crypto-romance scams. Nigeria, a global hub for both crypto innovation and cybercrime, has become the epicenter of these fraudulent activities. These scams combine the allure of romance with the complexity of digital currencies to exploit unsuspecting victims. Recent data and high-profile cases have spotlighted the severity of this issue, offering lessons for investors and individuals alike.

If you lose your mnemonic phrase to gain access to your wallet, but your coins are currently staked and still receiving daily rewards, are your coins still lost forever? Does staking your coins/having your coins “frozen” “staked”, add any kind of protection to a person who has lost their mnemonic phrase and/or seed phrase, to their wallet. Has anyone heard of anything in the future that will help people regain access to accounts in wallets, to those who have lost their seed/mnemonic phrase?

I think this is a question that a lot of people will have, either now or in the future. I appreciate anyone with some actual knowledge on this subject.

Yes, I do understand that mnemonic phrases are for the security of the wallet. I was just wondering if the coins are frozen, staked, actively receiving rewards, are they any different than just coins sitting in a wallet, doing nothing?

Also, let’s say you cannot recovered staked or frozen coins, does the super representative, who is running the blocks, have the power to do anything about it, since he controls and sends the daily rewards given, back to the addresses?

Thank you guys for your insight 😃 👍🏼

There has been much discussion of late about the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve - will it happen, how fast, why would it be announced in a way that guarantees it gets frontrun, etc.

Is it beyond crazy to think that Trump struck some sort of deal with his new best buddy Elon to secure a big chunk ahead of his inauguration? Guaranteeing him a price level or a giant tax break or who knows what else in consideration?

If the price increases substantially in the next month and they announce together that Elon bought a big bag at around $70k and is selling it to the US at say half of the price gain since the election rally started (but well below the current price), they both buy some serious goodwill and political IOU's, and they know it would still pump the shit out of the price.

Seems like the world's richest man could orchestrate some large OTC purchases without moving the needle a crazy amount given what we've seen Sailor do over the last 6 weeks without immediately causing giant price spikes, right? Maybe get Miriam Adelson and some of his other UHNW backers in on the trade too?

Clearly, I'm not a finance professional, but it seems to me like this would be a hella smart play for everyone involved.

Any other thoughts on how the people advising Trump (some of whom clearly know and understand the principles and market dynamics of Bitcoin) might have concocted a methodology to avoid paying significantly more for BTC in Q1 '25 than where the price was pre-election, when basically everybody knew if he won it was going to start to pump?
