For context I’m a student who’s quite new to investing/gambling and have contributed around 1.6-1.8k in both a tfsa and crypto. I have a few crypto plays I want to pursue but would have to liquidate some of my holdings in my tfsa to pursue them for hopefully bigger gains. Luckily, I don’t need the money in the foreseeable future and want to risk a little more for more profits at this point in my life. Is this a horribly bad idea given to volatility of crypto at the moment? Or a worthy risk given the large profits.

I understand the question is very vague, but I am completely new to crypto and investing in stocks, I know absolutely nothing about it but I’m thinking of getting into investing in some companies like Boeing or Lockheed Martin. I’m open to trying some cryptos or stocks and I understand I won’t see a return for a bit of time most likely and I understand I may even lose money. Let's say hypothetically, I bought certain coins on a SOL wallet that doesn't require any personal identifiable information to set up.

I funded this wallet by sending USDC from a different wallet, the bought other coins with the USDC.

If hypothetically speaking I ended up making a large sum of money by converting gains to USDC, how will it work if I later decided to sell this USDC for fiat and send into a bank account?

Who will come knocking and what questions will I have to answer?

If hypothetically speaking I made 5M from a 10k investment, how exactly will anyone know this unless I tell them? What if I say I started with 2.5M already?

However, despite the potential merits of the project itself, I’m struggling to understand the practical value of holding the WMTX token. This lack of clarity raises a critical question: is WMTX just another utility token with no real utility? Or is there an actual use case that hasn’t been effectively communicated? I am new to crypto. Still in my infancy stages of deep diving. I realize that each crypto is either based on another crypto, or has a specific task that it is performing to create its place. I'm not sure that I used any of the right words there, but that is the level of my understanding at this moment.*

I recently read an article that said with the current way things are going in the larger digital world, it's inevitable for banks and stock markets to move on chain. But the article didn't say which block chain. So my question is, what block chains would appeal to these types of transactions? Would it just be xrp (that's bank transaction performance, correct?) or am I still too shallow in my understanding of how all this works?

And if there is more than one crypto, how do institutions decide which block chains to work with to process bank or stock transactions?

I am definitely trying to learn with a lot of Internet time spent on this currently. But the more I search, the more iminnundated with false claims of get rich quick schemes and exorbant promises of what all these chains can do to make me rich. But finding specific a transactions use and scope and explainations to help me understand what each block chain does is mostly alluding me.

*any suggestions on resources where I can try and understand more about each individual cryptos differences would be greatly appreciated as I seem to be currently going in a circle instead of going deeper in my understanding

ive recently seen it rocket to become the 4th largest meme coin in a matter of a week since release. I havent seen one youtuber shill it, no ads to be seen on any of my platforms. Where did all this money come from to Flow into this meme and havent even seen one bot comment on reddit shill it. I thought the crypto community was all in agreement that NFTs will always be seen as bottom tier trash bets. But a meme coin that is backed by NFTs? Ooof thats a double whammy on the level of hawk tuah.

Is this just another cabal coin like brett? Purely funded by VCs?

Hi, I started reading some comments on this subreddit that 70% of cryptocurrency investors lose money. I investigated the source of this figure, and the closest I can find is this article: https://plasbit.com/crypto-basic/why-people-lose-money-on-crypto

70% is cited 3 times in that article, but the most relevant quote from that article is this line:

Markets are irrational, and people are the driving force behind the prices' movements. If the majority of people act in the same way, and the majority of people (over 70%) lose money on crypto, you can easily understand that "doing what others do" is not a convenient choice.

I looked for references in this article to find where this 70% figure came from for cryptocurrency investors, but no references were listed. I also searched on Google for this 70% figure but I can't find any study that hows 70% of cryptocurrency investors lose money.

Does anybody know where this 70% figure for cryptocurrency investor comes from? I would love to know the source (hopefully the source is not this article because that article doesn't show where they got the 70% figure from). Thank you.
