the instance has been going for some weeks now. Are you happy with it? Would you like to see things differently ? At the current scale it's costing me around EUR 10,- per month. Would you be up for contributing to this through for instance opencollective.com ? Every member 10 cents per month would already cover it, a little more and I could scale up to plenty CPU, RAM and storage. How many of you would be up for that ?

Are posts/communities about aerospace in general acceptable, or is it restricted to just aviation?

Example topics: rocketry, spacecraft, drones..

Hi everyone, I just joined here and wanted to subscribe to a few communities off-lemmyfly like [email protected] but can't find a way to do it. When I search for [email protected] I get no results and even when going directly to https://lemmyfly.org/c/[email protected] I get hit with a 404. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not possible to do it?

thanks to @[email protected] for noticing www.lemmyfly.org was not secured and not pointing to the lemmy instance.

Checking the lemmy ansible files I saw your nginx configuration file is located in /etc/nginx/sites-available/[sitename].conf

To add a redirect for your www.[sitename, add: (lemmyfly.org example)

server {
  server_name www.lemmyfly.org;
  return 301 $scheme://lemmyfly.org$request_uri;
}

check your config with sudo nginx -t

restart nginx: sudo systemctl restart nginx

Putting this here to solve this issue. Still new to Lemmy, but I'm sure this one is solvable.

Posted a comment on this post: https://lemmy.ml/post/1206080

Check the same post on this instance: https://lemmyfly.org/post/1983

Now my comment is the only one in the thread.

I think this has something to do with the language. My comment has the 'English' marking after the Fediverse icon. All the other comments do not have this.

Could this be something where this instance blocks comments with an undetermined language?
