some people think blogs are spammy, and maybe some are, but not all...

rules for posting blog links here -

1. no $$ blogs/advertising/selling things blogs
2. no monetized blogs ($ profit)
3. no nsfw blogs
4. all lemmy main rules apply (hate, etc)

(not against $$ blogs, this just isn't the place for those types of blogs)

some people, for different reasons, are disconnected from the outside world, and blogging gives them a sense of connection with other people

also, blogs are an outlet for creative and/or intellectual expression, a place for the unheard voice, a channel through which to speak in a world where people forget to listen to one another

last but not least, blogging is fun

a blog is not a bug :)
