Anyone here have a PA32UCG and can comment on the quality of the FALD of their unit? I saw great reviews for the monitor online, and the display itself is very nice, but the FALD on mine is unusable. The bloom is excessive and slow compared to other FALD I have with less zones. Screen is fine when dynamic dimming is off.

Tested in both Mac and PC. 8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit. The 2 most recent firmwares, MCM209 and MCM208.60 - 120hz refresh rate. Same across the board.

I bought mine about a month ago from Adorama and have been waiting for Asus support to give me clarity if there's a prob with mine? I'm thinking I should just request an exchange from Adorama as it's been weeks since I put in an Asus support ticket and keep getting a generic response that the problem has been escalated and someone will respond within 48hrs, yet they do not. Am bummed that's been the response for a display targeting high end / professional use cases.

I just bought a ultragear and I can't find the control center anywhere any more. old links are dead, the lg site no longer lists it under any monitor, the windows app store shows it but there isn't an option to download. I just wanna interface it with the rest of my setup so it matches so anything that can control would be greatly apricated

Hello,

my monitor worked fine until Friday, but ever since I exchanged my AIO the monitor won't turn on after restarting the PC. Cold booting works, but else it won't find a source via DP or HDMI.

I updated the firmware, updated all my drivers but nothing helps.

The model number is LS32BG750NUXEN.

Any ideas?

I'm using an ASUS VG278 165hz monitor that's hooked up to my laptop through usb-c to DisplayPort. Some games like Fortnite play just fine and I get 165+ fps, but others like Overwatch are super choppy. The fps counter will consistently be 120+ fps, but the framerate actually looks really bad. I've tried messing with all of the video and graphic settings in-game, but nothing is working. Anyone know of a solution? Thanks.

A little brief history, I only had eye strain once in my life couple years ago and I was able to resolve it within a week I stayed away from screens until I got fixed but this time I had eye strain for almost 5 months and I couldn't look at screens most of the times and I didn't know how to fix it until one day I realized what if this problem is caused by the brain and not the eyes, I'll walk you through how I got this problem in the first place to understand my point, I usually work from one laptop only but recently I started working from two different laptops at the same time and it took only 10 days until I reached a point where I couldn't look at screens at all and because I'm dumb I didn't realize the cause so I started doing a little bit of research and I found people talking about bigger screens and higher resolutions and refresh rates and vertical vs horizontal waves and I said that's why I have eye strain because laptop screen is small and have low refresh rate about 56 so I bought two other expensive monitors just to experiment and guess what it got worse.

What I tried next is eliminating all other monitors and sticking to to my default laptop and guess what the eye strain have gone away couple days later, My conclusion is when you use a certain monitor for a long period of time your brain get used to it and when you change it you get eye strain and that's how the brain is adapting to the new screen I will guess that it will take couple few months to get used to a new screen if your brain is attached to a certain monitor for along period of time.

You also want to keep the same setup surrounding your monitor like the lighting and the painting of the walls .. to not catch eye strain.

The conclusion is what cause the eye strain is not the bad monitor but changing the monitor so stick to your monitor no matter how bad they are and I would recommend you use a laptop because it's functional more and can move around with you. And use only one monitor for everything like working and gaming and entertaining don't use multiple screens and lower the time you use your phone because it can also contribute to this issue.

And also to not forget what cause me the eye strain long time ago was watching a lot of movies from my tv screen and go back to my laptop so basically the same issue.

A thank you will be nice if this help you!!

Photo of setup

I have a three-screen setup at home and I'm realizing that all things considered they give off quite a bit of heat. I've got three displays: two 23" screens and a 27" in the middle. The air around my desk is palpably warmer and I'm sure that in the summertime it doesn't do any favors for the room heating up, not to mention the longevity of the displays. I understand that monitors giving off heat is normal. So my questions:

  • Do certain display types give off less heat than others?
  • Will consolidating down to larger screen(s) (two 27"+, or maybe even one really large curved display) reduce the net heat output or is heat emission going to correlate with the size of the panel?

I was eyeing the 28 inch G70B but I came across a comment saying 27 inches is too small for 4k and 32 inches should be the bare minimum. Trying to get some updated (2023) thought on this!

Edit 32" not 32' :)

  • Current Monitor Model Name: M27q

    • Issue: Got this new monitor but I have trouble settings the rtings profile. They let me download the .icm file format but I cannot open it.

Tried to set it manually but I think something doesn't make sense. It says to set the RGB are RGB Settings "99-100-92" but in the menu the options I have are: R-Saturation, R-Hue G-Saturation, G-Hue B-Saturation, B-Hue C-Saturation, C-Hue

M-Saturation, M-Hue Y-Saturation, Y-Hue

And using those would be a huge chromatic aberration (if they stand for red, green and blue)

As a side issue, which I doubt it is related to this, is that whenever I alt+tab while playing a game or I return to the game I get that 2-3s black delay screen. On my previous monitor, it was instantly commuted.

  • (Optional) Image Link: N/A
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already taken? Going in the menu and manually setting those options.

My partner recently acquired a new monitor (the AOC AGW75QXR) and we've found we can't access the "Luminance" setting in the on-screen delay. It's present but any attempt to select it simply skips over it or fails to do anything at all. Googling hasn't helped so I figured I'd ask you guys over here.

Also not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so any pointers to the right subreddits to ask would be great :) thank you

So I purchased a KOORUI 24.5 Full HD (1920 x 1080) 170hz monitor and am having trouble with the refresh rate settings. I have changed my refresh rate from default to 170hz in advanced display settings, however for some reason whenever i click off the settings window, it reverts back to 120hz. i have checked and changed my display adaptor properties and am really unsure what the issue is.

Does anyone know how to help?

Hello there

Whites are too bright on my LG 27GB850-B, and I’m start to running out of ideas (and patience).

I have already play with brightness, contrast, gamma setting… and nothing seems to help with this issue.

The sRBG mode has this issue too, as it can see on the analisis RTINGS did at the time:

“The LG 27GP850 has okay accuracy out of the box. There are some noticeable issues with the white balance, especially in brighter shades, but most colors are pretty accurate”

I’m using it with my PS5 (HDR is off), so is not possible to calibrate it and use an ICC profile. The calibration must be done from the monitor itself.

Anybody had a similar issue with this monitor or with another nano ips? In that case, were you avable to solve it? How? Thanks!

I have a curved monitor that I use with my work laptop which is a Mac.

I notice, that sometimes when I scroll on certain pages or leave my monitor with some windows open, that the monitor flickers or changes color almost to a warm orange mode when certain pages are open

How do I fix this behavior?

I have white dots on my monitor, at first I thought it was a pixel issue, but they remain even after the monitor is turned off. I tried cleaning them with a little distilled water and eyeglass wipes, I can feel them scratching the dot, but I can't remove them in any way, and I'm afraid to press the screen too hard to avoid damaging it.

Hi I get alot of screen glare even when removing most light coming into my room. I know the obvious answer is to block out all light but especially in summer months I feel there may be an easier option.

Any settings/anti glare film usable for the monitor?

I have had the Gigabye M28U for about a year and at some point, the screws from the bottom of the clamp that attached the clamp to the arm fell out. I have tried replacing the screws and re-attaching the clamp to the arm but when I mount the arm to the desk, the arm no longer flexes and moves at it should. It only flexes down about a foot, and then you can hear the screws start to give and the arm itself looks like it's about to pop open. I can take a video and post it along with this to show what I mean but was curious if anybody had any idea what could potentially be the issue. Not sure if it would be the screw size, something within the flexible base of the arm that went bad, etc. Also considering just buying a cheap arm replacement from Amazon (I don't see the Gigabyte arm sold separately) as this has been a pain in the ass for the last few months for me not being able to use the arm.

Thanks!

Last last year, I purchased a 27" iiyama G2770HSU-B1, and it has been great for both work and play. Recently, out of nowhere really, it has started displaying a flickering horizontal bar maybe 3cm tall and spanning the width of the screen

This appears to only happen when running at 165hz. It is connected by Display Port, and I have tried different ports on the GPU, a different cable that I already owned, and a new cable that I bought in in the unlikely event that both my my cables were bad.

Graphics drivers are up to date.

After a while (maybe 20 mins or so) the problem seems to go away by itself.

What could be happening here? Is the described issue common? Can that specific area of the monitor be an issue only on that specific refresh rate? It all seems oddly specific
