I remember seeing this somewhere but for the life of me.

What is the cheapest country for YouTube premium that doesn't require card verification? (I was using Ukraine until recently)

I've tried the Albania method but it will not work with my home setup (can route all my youtube traffic through, but then I cannot use Pi-Hole)

Anyone know if I can activate the Turkish YouTube premium subscription if I buy Google play store Turkish cards from G2A?

Will I need a completely new Google account? Has anyone tried this before?

I got a VPN through my antivirus and want to use it on my phone + tablet, NortonVPN if that makes any difference. However, I don't want it to affect my desktop at all, as I play a few online games that are a little trigger happy when it comes to auto bans, mainly Warframe. Do I need to worry about it affecting other devices on my network or is that only something that a Router level VPN will affect?

Hello,

I've been using Adobe CC on a Turkish account for almost a year and now they've jacked up the prices. Are there any locations that still work for affordable prices? I've checked Brazil, Argentina, India, Venezuela and some others but they are all quite expensive now. Is there still any place that works well?

I need the programs but cannot afford them. So if the VPN way is dead I will have to find other apps to use.

Noob Question here

Theoretically it should be possible for users to share access to each other of their own networks and allow the usage of their machines as a VPN hosts in a P2P way. This will remove the need of centralized VPN service providers when we can route our requests through a shared network of 1000s of users.

I was wondering if this is indeed possible or am I mistaken? Are there any services which actually run on this model? What are the downsides of using VPN in this way? Would you be interested in using them? I searched for such services but couldn't find any would be very grateful if someone knowledgeable on this topic can comment

Is it possible to use screen mirroring with a device that is using a VPN? It’s inconvenient to use a cable all the time and I wanna just watch it on a bigger screen.

So hey guys, i am a noob in these kinda stuff, so it hought of asking you help

First i am starting off by saying what I use. I use a vpn and it runs on a config file created by my "friends" on a dedicated vps. idk abt this vps tings in deep. but what my friend do is he will create a config file and give it to me and I import that config file in the vpn app i said bfore and use it.

Further, I use this vpn connection through proxy in my pc. What i do is install the "Every proxy" app in my phone and it will create a proxy server from my phones hotspot's ip.

So what I wanted to ask was, is there a way to hide the fact that i am using vpn or proxy in my pc or phone. Because, some websites and apps limits its features bcs i use a proxy/vpn. e.g: reddit wont let me visit their page in chrome or any other browsers, unless i login. most of websites do these. And some downloader apps features dont even work because i use a vpn. so that's why i am asking this. is there any possible solution for this? like hiding that i am using a proxy or vpn?

would be big help

I’ve been trying to get a cheaper HBO Max subscription using a VPN, but I keep running into roadblocks. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

What I tried:

  1. VPN (Brazil)

• Managed to access the payment page, but it required a CPF (Brazilian tax ID) and a credit card. My credit card was marked as invalid.

  1. VPN (Argentina)

• Prices displayed correctly on the homepage but redirected me to the US signup page with US pricing when trying to subscribe.

  1. VPN(Colombia)

• Got to the payment page, but all my credit card attempts were declined.

  1. Mobile App (with VPN to various countries)

• Couldn’t change the plan or subscribe—kept showing “plan change unavailable.”

Additional things I tried:

• Created fresh accounts and attempted to subscribe.

• Logged into an existing account and tried to change the subscription plan via settings.

None of these worked. Has anyone found a method that actually works for getting a cheaper HBO Max subscription?

Hello there, im living in Germany and i have recently made a Internet contract (FTTH) with a ISP called Pÿur. They offer somehow no public IPv4 Address. On the other side i have a Public IPv6 Address. I followed the route to see why I don’t have a IPv4 Address and discovered that my data encounter multiple DHCP Servers on the way before to get out through a Public Address to the Internet. Therefore i can’t use a VPN to connect to my Homenetwork. I want it because i have a Nextcloud Storage system installed in my house and i want to access it from anywhere. I contacted the customer service hoping for a solution and the only thing that came up is VPN through IPv6. Is it possible? I want also to host some Game Servers like ASA (Ark Survival Ascended) and RUST.

I am looking for a self hosted VPN server running in Docker that I can setup for my friend who’s not really a tech savy person.

He has 3 branch sites connected already together using Openvpn and one site (hub) would host this VPN server where all the clients would connect to and access the other branch sites. It would be nice if this client VPN server would also have some UI/front-end where he could provision and remove clients as needed.

Clients would be phones and laptops

Thanks

So I use a Ukrainian streaming service called Megogo to watch sports, mostly football . I made the mistake of clicking on the app without my VPN turned on and it won’t let me access the full library even with the VPN enabled.

Is there any way to solve this?

I live in Texas, however, I need to go home to Ohio to help my parents for about 3-4 weeks next year. My manager is a raging micromanaging idiot. The company uses Cisco Duo for us to connect to the network. Of course when I'm at my house and sign in, the location shows as the Texas location. Is it possible for my parents internet connection to show as Wimberley or at least a city surrounding it? If so, would it require anything to be downloaded to the company laptop; hopefully not because all software downloads require IT credentials. I honestly don't think the company checks/cares, however, I know my manager has gone to IT before to have someone's location checked during the ice/snow storm back in 2021; the person called out two days for personal reasons so the manager had their last signin location checked under the guise of "making sure they were ok since so many people in the area were without power".

Before the HR warriors start with their nonsense, there's no issue with my productivity/being available when needed. I can't take leave or vacation right now. If it were a simple "ask"for permission, I would definitely go that route but it's not. I don't want to lose my job but I really need to be with my family for a few weeks. Thank you!

🧭VPN does not offer a system-wide kill switch if you download it from their website!:

On macOS, 🧭VPN offers two versions: one you download directly from their website (the sideload version) and another from the Mac App Store.

The Mac App Store version is limited in features due to Apple’s restrictions, while the sideload version from 🧭VPN’s website offers more advanced features like Threat Protection Pro and the ability to pause the connection. But there’s a catch: it doesn’t include a system-wide kill switch!

Meanwhile, the Mac App Store version—despite being stripped of many features—does include a system-wide kill switch. So how does it make sense that the version downloaded directly from their website, which offers more features, doesn’t even have a kill switch?

Here’s a breakdown based on what their support said:

🧭VPN (Downloaded from their website):

  • Threat Protection Pro: ✅ Includes anti-malware, advanced browsing protection, ad and tracker blocker
  • Pause feature (including a timed pause): ✅
  • System-wide kill switch + advanced kill switch: ❌ Only offers app-level kill switch, which terminates specified apps if the VPN connection drops, preventing unprotected traffic.

🧭VPN (Downloaded from the Mac App Store):

  • Threat Protection Pro: ❌ Only offers DNS filtering
  • Pause feature: ❌
  • System-wide kill switch + advanced kill switch: ✅

Why on earth does the version downloaded from their website, which is the one most people choose and isn’t restricted by Apple, lack the system-wide kill switch and advanced kill switch?!

I asked them and all they could say was:

Not a cybersecurity expert by any means.

Right now I'm in China and need to access things like financial investing accounts and tools, some of which are blocked by China's Great Firewall.

The only VPN services that work reliably and are fast are from small Chinese or Russian companies. European or North American VPN companies always have unreliable connections.

Every time I use an online financial tool it's after I'm logged in and through HTTPS, but all this internet traffic is sent through these Chinese or Russian VPN servers.

Do I have anything to worry about sending this potentially sensitive information through HTTPS encryption and having it land (or even stored unbeknownst to me) on these foreign servers?

Can I turn it off after the download is in uTorrent or BitTorrent? I use opera so the VPN is limited to the browser anyways.

Hi, I've noticed that when I have my VPN enabled on my laptop, my Internet connection drops very frequently (about once every 10, 15 minutes). I need to reconnect often to get it to work. I know the issue isn't with my internet itself because when the VPN is not connected, it works flawlessly. Does anyone know what might be the issue here, or what I need to look into?

Further information: I use Shaw/Rogers Internet in British Columbia, Canada. I have tried two different VPN providers and had the same problem with both. The VPN works fine when on my cell phone using the same WiFi connection.

Thanks in advance!

Like the title. Most VPN companies include ad/tracker blockers with their services, but differ wildly in the size and scope of the blocklists they use. If I use a VPN with an average scope of ad/tracker blocking, will that make a difference in terms of security or privacy? Or should we just select the VPN that has the most comprehensive blocklist? Or is it all just a matter of convenience?

So there was a show on Netflix that canceled but i recently found out it was continued in English dubbed in another country. So I tried using vpn for the first time so I could watch it but unfortunately I have to buy it.

So I tried using a foreign e-gift card but both services that it’s on won’t accept it and it automatically chooses my countries currency. Is it not possible to buy it with vpn and am I doomed never to see how my show ended?
