Number 1 OT in the nation and number 24 overall per 247.

  1. Quinn Ewers

The rules are pretty simple. If you go into Tuscaloosa and hand Alabama its first home loss since 2019, doing so by a margin no other team has done since Nick Saban came to town in 2007, you'll be No. 1 in these rankings. I was already high on Ewers and had been cramming him in here higher than he deserved. After leading Texas to its biggest win since Vince Young sprinted into the end zone at the 2006 Rose Bowl, he's left me no choice. (Last: 5)

I've got a background in Python back end development using Django, and a small bit of front end with React and Node, as well as CI/CD using Jenkins hooked into Git.

McMurphy released his updated bowl projections and put Texas in the Alamo Bowl against USC. He chose Texas Tech to win the Big 12 and reach a New Year’s Six game to face LSU in the Cotton Bowl.

The Alamo Bowl is a fun time, but I'm getting very tired of it. This would be a huge letdown for us (and probably an even bigger letdown for USC if they were sent to this bowl).

Regarding Big XII commish Brett Yormark's quote last week:

“Coach [Joey McGuire], I’m not going to put any pressure on you, but I’m going to be in Austin on Thanksgiving, and you better take care of business like you did right here in Lubbock last year”

Sark's response today:

“I got a letter from the commissioner about sportsmanship the day before that speech, so I’m trying to figure out what are we promoting to our student-athletes," Sarkisian said, per ESPN. “To go say those types of things? I’m not guessing he’s gonna have his Thanksgiving dinner with us the night before that game.”

From the article:

The man whom linebackers coach Jeff Choate has taken to calling “Coach D.J.” has become a fixture at Texas practices because he still carries the same emotional investment in the team’s success that he did as a rangy, soft-spoken freshman linebacker who arrived from Waco more than 20 years ago.

It’s not rare to see Johnson huddled up with star backer Jaylan Ford discussing techniques or comparing notes with fellow Hall of Honor member and former UT teammate Michael Huff.

The winner of the 2004 Butkus Award and Nagurski Trophy — the line forms behind him and Tommy Nobis as the greatest backers to play here — is a constant presence around the program, and his work doesn’t stop on the practice field. He can often be spotted in the film room, usually with young players whose main priority is turning in a huge season and eventually walking the path he paved from here to the NFL.

"I like to stay involved, especially with the linebackers,” Johnson said. “I also try to make myself available for (pass) rushers and the other defensive guys. It’s a volunteer role, but it’s mostly geared toward helping these young linebackers on and off the field.”

Wide receiver Xavier Worthy and offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. both earned second team honors on the Associated Press' All-America Team. This is Worthy's second-consecutive season and Banks' first being a AP Preseason All-America selection.

Twelve years after the studio lights flickered on, the network will soon go dark: LHN will be folded into the SEC Network when Texas joins the Southeastern Conference next summer. This academic year is the last for a pioneering effort that forced new NCAA rules, laid the groundwork for emerging conference networks and played a role in what would be a decade of realignment.
