I eas wondering how I would go about cracking games I own on steam, for usage on other computers via usb without credentials for the game.

Also I made myself look like an idiot a day or 2 ago, not knowing that the word I was looking for was 'cracking' and called it 'reverse pirating '

I'm just curious to know the process that this sub has to verify that a site is safe.

Hey r/piracy! We’re excited to introduce BingeBox, a streaming app we’ve been working on, and we’d love to get your feedback. The app is still in development, but we’re eager to share some of its key features and hear your thoughts on how we can make it even better.

BingeBox gets content via torrents. Which could potentially expose you to risks. You may want any precautions necessary once released!

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

What Makes BingeBox Unique?

Ease of Setup

  • BingeBox offers an intuitive setup process, helping you get started in seconds. It’s designed to be accessible for everyone, no matter your level of tech expertise.

Customizable Experience

  • Customize your experience by creating custom lists, sorting your content, and controlling what’s displayed on all pages.

Embedded Trailers

  • Watch trailers directly within the app, with no need to open external links. It’s a seamless way to preview content before watching.

Multi-User Profiles

  • Create multiple user profiles with unique preferences. BingeBox allows you to restrict content for kids and lock profiles with passwords, ensuring safe viewing for all ages. (Due to the nature of torrents, some non restricted content could still show up. However, we do have some measures to try and counter this)

Vast Content Library

  • Whether it’s movies, TV shows, BingeBox brings a broad variety of content to your fingertips. No limits, just endless entertainment.

Syncing

  • Sync your content with built in features. Your viewing preferences and progress will sync automatically without any third-party services.

Cross-Device Support (Coming after initial release)

  • You’ll soon be able to enjoy your content across all your devices with seamless syncing—no external services required!

 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We’re still fine-tuning the app and would love to hear your thoughts! What features would you like to see in a streaming app like this? Any feedback or suggestions are more than welcome as we continue developing BingeBox.

BingeBox currently supports integration with Real Debrid only. This setup provides a safer and higher-quality experience by ensuring torrents are fetched through Real Debrid’s secure servers. BingeBox probably won’t be free but will have a price similar to Syncler due to server costs. (Not final)

Thanks in advance for your input!

Important: BingeBox does not host any content on our servers. All content is sourced externally using torrents.

Downloading movies and music for private use is totally legal in my country 🇨🇭. Uploading / seeding however, is not. But at least i dont have to worry. What about your country?

Before computers and the internet, making mixed tapes to listen to on my way to school, recording songs off the radio making sure not to get the commericials was a skill.

Then when the internet came in 56kbps a second downloading a song off Napster, I would have it running ALL night and waking up to my downloads, putting the mp3s onto mini disc and sharing it around with my classmates, really great memories of that.

When family comes over to visit with kids, being able to DL movies for them to watch and being thanked like I did something amazing, being able to create movie nights in.

The small joys of being a pirate :)

Music platforms: *raises prices, adds more ads, adds more limits on free plans that basically makes them useless, suddenly removes songs from time to time

Also music platforms: "Why is music piracy rising?"

Gee I wonder why 🙄

Nothing to really talk about, it's just a funny thing that happens.

I got my hands on an android device after a few years on iOS and kind of want to try out different launchers and features, but I don’t want to spend money to test stuff out.

Still, with launchers specifically I feel like they have a lot of permissions, so I feel unsure about downloading paid versions outside the Play Store or F-Droid.

I have looked a bit at the stores in the megathread and while I do trust the megathread software is always extra risky when you don’t know that particular scene.

Do you have any rule of thumb when it vomes to permissions and pirated apps?

Edit: I installed Malwarebytes already as they have been good go me on desktop, as well as set up a VPN (but I won’t be torrenting on my phone, it’s just for privacy) but idk how effective malwarebytes is on mobile.

Are there still any software sites out like warez back in the days? I would love to spend some bucks on software and games, but sometimes escpecially when the software cost a couple hundreds, i need further testing then the usual 30 day trial. So im looking for a good updated site.
