To preface, my girlfriend is a very good looking girl and gets hit on a lot. I’d say I’m a decent looking man, hit the gym, muscular. The other day, we were at the gym together and there was some aggressive looking middle age man who was doing all kings of strange exercises like inverted upside down pull ups on the dip bar. When I wasn’t with my girlfriend, the dude (let’s call him David) comes up to my girlfriend and tells her “did your man win the lottery?” My girlfriend responded to David “my boyfriend doesn’t play the lottery?” David then asks again “did your man win the lottery?” and then leaves. My girlfriend confused calls me (we were both at the gym at different parts) and tells me that this guy asked her if I won the lottery. Given that this guy had an aggressive and unpleasant demeanor, I expected that this was his way of saying your boyfriend has money or why are you with him?

My question is, how would you have interpreted this situation, and what should one do as a man in a situation like this? Would you confront the guy, or deduce that the guy is mentally unstable since he feels the need to say something like that?

Edit: Just wanted to include that I am not rich or come from a rich family, my girlfriend and I are both in school studying for anyone wondering if I am indeed wealthy.

Edit 2: David is a white middle aged man who appears quite physically fit, grunts during half of his exercises, wears a backwards hat, and wears skin tight clothing

Edit 3: me and my girlfriend are white for people saying I’m racist 😂

every single day i feel immense sadness about racism. i've felt this way my whole life, even though i've never had a racist incident ever (excluding videogames). i just feel anxious because i feel like the day will come where something happens to me. i'm shy, an introvert and a slim girl and i really can't stand up for myself at all, i was bullied in high school - not for my race, just for being weird.

is there anything i can do to stop fearing it so much?

My husband has episodic mystery illnesses and needs to speak with a doctor. But we're not sure whether it should be an internist, or a metabolic geneticist, or what. I really don't know where to start. Is there a subreddit for doctor recommendations? We are in Canada and the wait is just too long to see specialists. About up to a 2 year wait. So I need someone in the US or Europe or somewhere else in the world that will do paid telemedicine consults.

I’m not a cis guy, but I’ve seen this happen before; two lasses going into the same bathroom stall. And while I understand the reason for multiple lasses going to the bathroom together, why the same stall? Maybe it’s not as common as I thought, or maybe it’s just something I don’t get, I’m just curious.

I have always not eaten the skin because I wasn't sure if it would mess up your digestive tract or not.

When I was a kid (15-20 years ago) every hotel I stayed at had a games room, with arcade games, pinball machines, PlayStations/GameCubes hooked up to TVs etc

Do these still exist? Maybe I don’t look for them anymore but I feel like they’re not around these days

Normally a guy chooses his closest friend for that role but what if you don't have any friends?

I’m struggling with this. It’s hard to think of myself marrying someone else. I’m working on myself so maybe a new me will attract a new person?

I know it sounds bad but i am around a diverse community and notice that white people are noticeably hurt by the sun more than I am. Like this past weekend I, a very dark skinned person, stepped outside from a cold building and thought it felt amazing in the sun, so I tried to stand outside talking to my pale partner and after just 2 minutes maybe he said he was burning and needed to move inside. I feel like the sun that would hurt me would kill him. (Sorry for formatting I am on mobile)

I always associated crime with being a poor area problem which is why I find it so bizarre that San Franciso seems so bad, wouldn't high living costs and well paying jobs drive crime out of the city? Are the criminals that spend their days smashing car windows for a backpack renting $5k a month apartments? Or is the crime in the city overblown in the media?

Why must they always be seen as having a deficit? It feels like women(or possibly men as well) have great variances of opinion on most physical features, but the exact same standards on height?
