This is a music sub right? I feel like all of the big posts are politics, allegations, quotes, and that stuff. I didnt sub to know if chapell roan is voting trump or not. Sure it's important to know about the musicians, but what happened to the music? Like, songs that do x? or albums that describe x, it's hardly a discussion anymore. Am I in the wrong sub? Let's talk music removes virtually everything so I come here but there's so much less music stuff, or it's all getting buried. I miss the days where it was all just exciting songs and discussion with cool topics, with a few actually noteworthy news bits (I mentioned allegations earlier, but depending on the severity I think they can be good to post here). Am I missing something?

Also the fantano subreddit is the best alternative I have right now, but they get on tangents about 10/10 albums all the time and ofc the sub is actually about fantano too

around 2 months ago I watched the concert film "Stop Making Sense" and I literally cannot listen to anything but talking heads. I was a big fan of hip-hop but now I have utterly no motivation to play any of that- all I can listen to is talking heads! I even tried listening to my favourite album OAT "Graduation", but It just didn't hit the same. I used to listen to an album a day and would write a page-long review for it but I cant bring myself to listen to a different album.

I need other artists or ways to listen to other things but I don't don't know how. The only other artist I can still really appreciate is Daft Punk- wait a minute...Am I becoming my dad??

Anyways, how do yall stop obsessing over one artist and get to listening to more music?

This is an Italian pop start that wrote a song in gibberish that sounds like how english sounds to nonenglish speakers. I thought it was interesting. Then I thought it was catchy. Then I started humming it.

At the very least I had to share this madness with someone!
