So if you have laptops with the same specs except one has intel uhd and the other has intel iris xe and both laptops have no mux switch would the intel iris xe perform better than the uhd one ?

Hello everybody, Recently I decided to retire my old laptop and get a new one. My max budget with taxes included (around 7 percent of price) is $1000 usd (I can't stretch my budget further). I really don't want to get an RTX *050 so my options are pretty limited. I don't have an microcenter near me. So it comes down to these choices

Should I wait for the Asus TUF A16 (RX 7600s) to go on sale on bestbuy (I saw it at 799 and 899 before. I know it's 949 now but Its a little over 1000 after taxes) or Do I pull the trigger on Zephyrus M16 RTX 3060 open box on bestbuy again for 779 dollars? Are there any alternatives?

When starting the laptop i usually get artifacting after i press enter to insert my password. After some testing i think its because of the igup, because it never happened while i had a monitor connected to the laptop and ive heard that in that case it instantly uses only the gpu. So the question is wheter i can somehow turn off the igpu or what exactly could be causing it cuz ive read that in this case it could be the ram too. (If its the ram ill be really happy cuz its easier to buy and change 32gigs of ram instead of changing the whole laptop lol)

Hi there! I just recently got a new Predator Helios Neo 16 and so far it's been working great.

Something that's gotten irritating, though, is that sometimes, if I'm watching a video on youtube, typing, or just if anything on my screen changes in some way, it looks almost like text and pictures are vibrating. I don't really know how to describe it, I'm pretty sure it's a screen issue because I can't take a screenshot of what it looks like. I'm pretty new to laptop terminology, though, and I'm not sure how to be more specific, so I haven't found anything about this issue anywhere else, but perhaps there's a term I'm missing. I just want to figure out how to solve it, or if I need to take it in and get it fixed. I haven't had any other issues in the last few weeks that I've had it.

Thank you so much!

Edit: After posting this, I clicked on another post, and the screen "split" into two, as if there were two of the exact same tabs on top of each other, and then opening a tab seems to have fixed both issues, where the screen is not split and the text is not vibrating, so I'm assuming that's related? It's happened a few times, I just start scrolling in a tab and it "splits".

Hey guys,

i am searching for the best notebook for my budget like everyone else. I am searching for a notebook with a RTX 4060 for max. 1500€ and would be happy about any suggestions. Especially quiter ones (I know they are not silent but what I can get for my money.

Right now I found 2 notebooks for my Budget: Dell G15: i7-13650HX with RTX 4060 Lenovo Legion Pro 5: i5-13500HX with RTX 4060

I know the i7 is better but I want the best complete bundle for the price not the highest performance.

Also open for any other suggestions but I am from Europe so many US-Offers are not doable for me.

Hello, wise elders of PC gaming! I cannot overstate how confused I remain about this corner of the gaming world after 20 years of exclusively playing on consoles. (My last PC gaming experience was the original Medieval: Total War.)

I have one main ask of y'all, and it is this: What is the least expensive laptop widely available in the U.S. that will run Starfield? I logged an insane number of hours on Fallout 4 for Xbox, so I know a degree of glitchiness is baked into Bethesda games. However, I also recall that FO4 PC players reported fewer problems than console players, especially in areas of the game like downtown Boston.

So, leaving aside Bethesda bugs (especially launch bugs), what laptop should I get? Bethesda's FAQ recommends the following specs:

  • OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel i5-10600K
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 125 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD Required

That FAQ also contains the minimum specs, and I don't understand the gameplay difference between the minimum and recommended.

If that's not asking too much, can someone also tell me what makes a PC gaming experience feel like a console experience? Presumably, I'll want a separate monitor and an Xbox controller. Is that it?

(Yeah, I know I could just buy a console, but this laptop will also be for work. Won't go into work requirements other than to say they are minimal--currently using a 2016 ASUS Chromebook!)

Thank you in advance for sharing your wisdom with a newcomer/interloper, and long live the Minutemen.

Im looking for a laptop that i can take to and from work and do some gaming on my downtime. It doesnt need to be a pc replacement but i would like it to handle some modern games. Temps a and weight are my biggest priority, with that said i understand its a laptop and you can only expect so much. I had an hp omen and it would idle in the high 80s low 90s. This was when the 1080 was the newest graphics card.

Need help choosing new laptop. Looking for something to run Starfield and other game pass and steam titles that I otherwise can’t play on my PS5. Need good display as I want to be able to watch sports and watch movies on. Pricing is maybe around up to the 1.5k mark.

Well title says it all. Im in the market for a laptop, mainly for work as i do have a Desktop with a MSI 3070 ti suprim x, but it would be nice to have a game or 2 on the laptop of i wish to play on the go. These 2 laptops are both on sale for a very nice price, QHD is a must. Both have pretty similar specs but the Acer has an Amd ryzen 7 6800 cpu ( i am a ryzen guy but I don'tknownhow it compares to then MSI pulse i7 13620h. I would like your opinions on which to choose. Im not a fan of Acer but never bought a gaming laptop before, colors and brightness should be above good in somewhat, so anyone with any input on to which to get would be appreciated, looking to pull the trigger on one of those by tomorrow. Thank you in advance.

When Was The IETS GT600/GT626 New Laptop Cooling Pad Released Officially? | IETS (ietstech.com)

It seems to have been revised so the proper release version will likely be better than the ones bought from Asian sellers on some platforms.

For those who are turned off by the noise and cost... got some bad news for you. It should be a fair bit quieter... but due to the extensive R&D, it is going to be more expensive. Apparently it should work better with larger laptops too.

I do believe I will wait it out for the new one to be launched but I can see me pulling the trigger on one. I love my GT500, but if I can have the performance of the 500 on full speed yet half the noise? Damn right ima jump on that.

Cooling fanatics, what say you?

Hello,

I'm looking for a new laptop as my MSI GS66(with a 2070 Max-Q) has consistently been having issues for a while. I'm on a bit of a budget so I wanted to see which of these is the better choice between two 3060 laptops?

I'm currently in Hong Kong and there's a computer at the moment.

I've been looking at the Scar 16 with rtx 4080 and mini led screen ($26500 hkd), but saw the GE78 with 4090 for $25500 hkd).

Now, I had a MSI GS65 in the past and the leds on the keyboard would burn out. Had the keyboard replaced under warranty and one month afterwards the leds started to burn out. Then the GPU died.

With asus, I have the flow x13 2022 version and the ssd died but everything else was OK.

Because of my experience with MSI, I've been leaning towards asus. However, a 4090 for cheaper than a 4080 with mini led screen has got me thinking again.....

I know the 4090 is faster and you can't replace the gpu in a laptop. But, I feel the build quality for MSI can be a bit hit or miss (mainly the keyboard).

Asus does include 2 years international warranty whereas for MSI its 2 years warranty but only the first year is international.

32gb RAM and 2TB ssd on both units.

What do you guys think?

laptop specs: msi gf76 katana 12UD, i5 12450h 45W, rtx 3050ti 4gb 60W, 2x8gb 3200Mhz ddr4 ram

My msi gf76 cpu is hitting crazy temps (90-97°C) even when its under less than 10 percent load while gaming (deep rock galactic). Ive been monitoring the cores for some time with core temp and msi center (screenshots). The laptop is around 5 months old and has been repasted and cleaned before i bought it around 2 weeks ago. Ive tried undervolting it all the way to -190mV and it doesnt help. Should I just keep on undervolting it lower? 190mV already seems like too much. What is the max undervolt people managed to pull off?

Im looking to buy a legion pro 7 and it comes with i9 13900hx, 4080, 1tb ssd and 16gb ram. Im wondering if 16gb ram is enough for playing warzone and sometimes singleplayer games. Which ram would you guys recommend if i were to upgrade? Would the performance be the same as if i install 32gb ram myself rather than buying prebuilt from lenovo with 32gb?
