Definitely not seeing this talked about enough. This makes games so much more accessible to everyone:

This has been such a great feature for some of the ps classic games, would be really cool to bring to modern games!

With the ownership of Death Stranding going to Kojima they really quietly dropped the game on Xbox.

I love me some RPGs. Ever since FF2, it's been my favorite genre. As I got older, I found out a lot of those games had crazy hidden treasures that would make you more powerful! By the time FF7 came around, there were enough guides on the internet to get me to KoTR!

But then FF12 came about, and if you opened 1 random chest in the wrong place, you lost out on one of the best weapons in the game. Now...you can't miss a thing, or you miss out.

I loot every container. Read every guide. Make sure I don't miss a single detail. And I haven't completed an RPG story in years. Pick em up, play the shit out of them, looking in every corner and back alley, then get bored of it because I'm not really playing a game any more.

I still love this genre, and I feel like they have moved away from the FF12-style miss one random detail and you're screwed gameplay, but I'm so stuck in that mindset. Anybody else out there have any luck breaking that cycle?

A linear game where you can actually “escape the boundaries” and there’s no invisible walls and no death timer. Where you can just leave the main area and explore places that have absolutely nothing to do with the main story or game.

Places that most people immersed in the main gameplay will never discover.

Imagine a game like Halo, where playing a level is only actually 10% of the explorable area.

Someone needs to make a game like this. Develop a sprawling open world, and then only utilize a small linear path within the world for their game.

And never again will that shock and enjoyment be renewed.

People seem to love these games. I have enough Google Play credits for one or the other. For those of you that have played both: which do you prefer?

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Are you actually happy playing video games or is it just something you do to pass time because you have nothing else going on?

I think about this alot and two moments in my gaming life pop up. The day my parents bought me a console for Christmas ( a knockoff Famcom) and the day my mom brought home Monsters Inc the Ps1 game ( a decent movie game based only partly on the movie) Truly happy gaming moments.

I've had the odd giddy moment as an adult but nothing as powerful as those two moments in my childhood. What about you guys and girls?

Thought about it when playing xenoblade 2 when you get zeke who is a really cool character but i don’t use him due to how much time I’ve invested in my other characters specially when taking into account the gatcha system in the game. So I’m curious on how people feel about late game party members introductions and if games should or shouldn’t do them? Also how can developers make it more appealing to use them without completely outclassing existing characters in your party?

My favourite is Silas in DA I. I used him for the whole game and then by the end after finishing the game and completing his mural he's gone.

What’s a game where the marketing showed almost all the good stuff of a game before release.

I don’t mean leaks

Mine was Mega Man X. I still remember trying to beat Sigma in the final fight—spent hours just to end up throwing the controller and walking away. Kid me was not ready for that level of frustration. Should I try it as an adult?

My vote is when "Whiplash" comes on the jukebox in the backwoods bar in Back4Blood.

What’s your opinion about this version of Sonic (the one that Sega uses for 3D Sonic games)? Do you like its more shonen/anime tone, or was the 90s Sonic better?

Full disclosure, I posted this in some PlayStation tech support threads as well.

I'm having some severe issues with the PS5 party voice chat. When I am in a party with my friend, I can still hear him perfectly fine, but my mic keeps cutting out at random, and stays out unless I plug and replug the headset several times.

I just got a new headset roughly an hour ago as I assumed something was wrong with the mic on mine, but the new one has the exact same issue.

I have no idea what could possibly be wrong. He doesn't have the issue, as I always hear him clearly. Even in the party window I can see the blue ring stops popping up around my icon when this happens.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

In my case i play a lot of stepmania and that required a lot of tapping and sometimes i feel slight pains or (rarely) my left hand feels tingly or numb for a tjme. Playing dance games on foot was definitely a boon in every sense, be it friendships, weight loss, and overall stronger legs.
