Hello. I bought my first 3D printer a month ago and immediately started to learn to design models in Fusion 360. Yesterday, I downloaded a model from Makerworld. It's an electric toothbrush holder. Unfortunately, it didn't fit my toothbrush.

I liked the design so I opened up Fusion and remade the model from scratch, with the necessary modifications to fit my toothbrush. The overall shape of the base (a rounded rectangle with a chamfer) is identical to the model I downloaded from Makerworld, albeit my recreation. The other parts obviously differ to accommodate my toothbrush.

What is the etiquette here? Can I upload my model to Makerworld? Would it be considered a remix or a new model? Would be it considered rude or unethical? I don't mind keeping my model for myself but I figured someone out there might find it useful.

Tomorrow this sub will be hit with a flood of new printer owners. I know it can be tiring to see so many similar posts about people getting their printers, or struggling with issues. If this bothers you, take a day off from reddit. If you have some spare time and knowledge, please consider replying to the posts with helpful advice. Last year a few of my friends from the Voron Discord spent hours sorting by new and helping as many people as we could. Let's get more people involved this year and help new printer owners get off to a smooth start.

Original Title: I designed this strong and durable reversible ratcheting driver. Designed with "It must be strong and actually work" in mind. It is a tool, not a toy. If someone wants to give it a try, you can download the model from the link in the comments.
