Looks like the home page loads but when I try to go to any of the secondary pages, I get "Page Unavailable."

Initially set to auto unzip all files would disappear. Now anything over 1gb or so doesn't even show a zip file properly. Have uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted, cleared cache, etc. to no avail. Has this happened to anyone and if so have you found a solution?

My speeds dropped from 80-99MB/s to 6-8 MB/s. around 4 days ago. I haven't changed anything. I've restarted everything: modem, router, NAS, Sabnzbd still slow.

I've been using sab for a long while now and have had a poke through every settings page over the years and I've never come across anything like what I'm looking for, but figured I'd have a ask anyhow.

As the title says, can sab (or other usenet client) download from multiple servers at the same time?

Before anyone says "Use the right settings!", let me explain.

I use Frugal (US) as my primary, followed by Eweka and then Frugal (EU). Anytime I'm pulling from Eweka or Frugal EU, as expected, my speeds are slow, 10-25MB/sec with 15MB/sec being typical, which means everything takes longer since I'm only using 10% of my available bandwidth. I've tried 10 connections, 20, 50, etc without any change.

If sab could be configured to use my primary server for the next download in queue, while still downloading the initial download from a secondary or tertiary server, the queue could get processed much faster.

Thoughts?

Currently have provider: -Eweka -Thundernews (blocks)

Indexers: -NzbGeek (lifetime) -NinjaCentral (lifetime) -Drunkenslug

(The are also in above priority order for prowlar/sabnzb). Interestingly haven’t really used any of the Thundernews blocks.

I don’t have much complaint here other than sometimes having trouble finding smaller sizes of some shows (think reality type shows). The very popular scripted stuff and new content is easy to get. Can be harder to find more niche content (I like watching older stuff and not always the most well known of content).

Any suggestions about adding, removing, or changing? Y

Does anyone know if you can stack the cheap Newshosting yearly subscription so that you have a multi year subscription? Thank you

For providers, I just got Newshosting $24 for 1 year but after it's $90 (whatever it was). Is there anything that stays for around $25 to $35 after the first year is up? Does Thundernews stay $24 after the first year?

For Indexers, I currently have geek 6 months to try it out. I plan to get 5 years or lifetime on Black Friday since I like it. And I have slug for a year. I'm also thinking of getting althub lifetime and I want to get ninja if it opens up. My question is, does tabularasa have a lot of overlap with slug? To me, it seems that way so far but not sure if i'm mistaken. (I'm using the free version of tabularasa for now). or do any of these other indexers I mentioned have a lot of overlap? I'm just not sure if i'd be overdoing it by getting too many indexers.

So I am new, super new. I got Unraid server for less than 2 months, heard about the RRs, then I heard about the indexers and usenet.

In short I am super confused by lot of the stuff (wiki helped a lot). My friend snd some other guy online recommended Eweka to me but I want to know how big are the differences between each provider because price differences are big. Currently I am thinking of the deal with Easynews just for the reason that its cheaper but I have no idea by waht standard I should choose?

In short I am little lost. On one hand you got some "serious" looking providers that remind me of VPN where they are always tellign tehy are the best and then I check Frugal and its totally different.

I am here mainly to ask for and advice on what to avoid or if some provider is bad in EU and so on. I know I will get to know more as I search the wiki but asking someone who is more experienced is usually best choice. So far I am looking to ge the Easynews deal as I mentioned above, I am from EU (if it matters) and i have never used usenet at all.

Any tips or advice concerning not only choosing the provider but also how to go forward will be appreciated.

I have been using Easynews for over 20 years, and have been very happy with them. I used to mainly use their GUI to download and maybe binsearch with nzb.

My current payment is $29.95 / month for the Big Gig plan which, on reflection, seems quite pricey.

In the last year or so, I have moved across to unraid and automated everything with the “arrs”.

I have also got a Eweka package for about €5/month to fill in the gaps.

Easynews does have great retention and I seem to get everything I need, but just wondering what others use and if I can trim my monthly outgoings?

I saw a great post earlier for Usenet farm offering a 15% discount, and the prices looked cool when I clicked through but then I noticed "account sharing: allowed" or however it was phrased.

So, why aren't a few of us getting together and sharing the costs of services like this to use as our backups? It feels like it's ripe for sharing.

I've been posting using NGD since quite a time now, but I recently found that most of the articles aren't even available in other providers like Eweka and surpisingly with Supernews too. The uploads didn't fail if that's the concern.

I was then suggested to use the same provider for download, so I bought a NGD block (1TB for $10) but that too isn't completing articles.

I want to change the provider for posting just so that the article's remain available with other providers too, maybe with a decent iHAVE ping agent. Please suggest.

Mike

So as of maybe 2 months ago everytime I check SABnzbd it shows that Eweka is constantly timing out. Not sure what caused this but stuff still downloads. Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to fix it? Ive tried chaning the port numbers from 563 to 443, lowering the number of connections from 50 to 40, 30 etc. Not sure what all of a sudden caused this or anyway to fix this. I have 2 block accounts aswell usenet.farm and usenet express that I havent experienced timeout issues on and they have been utilized.

I’ve decided to go with either newshosting or eweka. I have Usenet farms but I’m not fond of it to be honest. I can’t decide what would be the best and have the most content. Is eweka generally the best? I see they both have deals not sure if it will go cheaper for Black Friday. Newshosting has a 1.99 dollars a month deal for a year but it doesn’t say if it will go up higher than that. And eweka has a 6.99 euros a month deal for a year. I’d probably do the month purchase to see how it is and if it will become cheaper during Black Friday. Any suggestions would be great. Just not sure what will be better?

Does anyone have experience with this? I had Newshosting some years ago but don't know anything about this deal I have been using NewsgroupDirect for 5 years and reasonably happy with it $30 per year supposedly but they charged me $35 this past year. Will run out very soon. Newshosting is offering $1.87 per month with additional acct at Easynews plus VPN. I'm debating trying it. How is this combo? Appreciate any thoughts. Dave

I seem to be having trouble finding certain content. I have 3 indexers, nzbgeek, altHUB, and drunkenslug. Should I pick up a second provider? From my searching on this sub people say to pair it with a backbone but I’m not sure what to pair Usenet farms with? I checked the wiki page and saw the tree but I don’t quite understand it. Would I pick a different provider on a different backbone or do you go to the backbone’s website directly and buy a certain amount of data? I’m sort of confused.

Not sure if this has been reported yet but it seems that the API is totally busted on DogNZB. They aren't mentioning it on their website but it's definitely not working

So I have Easynews and Eweka, have done for years, Eweka is my filler while Easynews is my main as I tend to use the web browser search a lot more than NNTP. I got a email from both companies this week saying they are raising prices by £2 a month. But within the Eweka email it said you now get Easynews included. So presumably I no longer need to keep my standalone Easynews account, which I have had since 2002.

Does anyone know any more info ? Like would I lose anything dropping my standalone Easynews compared to the Eweka combo ? I got both accounts via super cheap Black Friday deals so I am a bit reluctant to drop standalone Easynews in case the combo deal goes south. But at the same time it seems foolish to pay for both.

I've had an EN account for 20+ years! Wow! Just wondering if the search is down for me or everyone?
