My local Lowes in North Carolina has cleared out (read no longer available) all the Bosch 12v tools and has the display tools for sale w/o box for half off. They expanded the DeWalt 12v display into where the Bosch 12v was. Is this just Lowes cleaning our old stuff and restocking or did they drop the 12v Bosch line?

Just bought the above mentioned Milwaukee impact from Home Depot. When I opened it it was not bagged/In plastic. I thought it was a return so I exchanged it for another. The second one also was not bagged. Both were being sealed by flimsy piece of scotch tape. Is this how they come or are these returns?

I've made a shroud to put my bench grinder in when I use it. Trying to set up a thing to also plug my shop vac (3hp) into to suck up the dust as it goes.

The shroud works well.. the vacuum tube thing.. not.

Anyone have suggestions to maybe re-work it and try?

(The black tubes I used to build the shoud aren't hollow, so I can't run the vaccum thru that. I have concidered rebuilding it with basic pvc that is hollow throughout and running the air thru it?)

I've been looking into buying impact driver, but with some research done I've concluded that these are not best for mechanical work because of little control over torque. Impact wrenches are just bigger versions of drivers. Drills are nice because you can control torque and not overtighten bolts by accident, but they are a bit bulkier. If you had to choose one to get for working on car, which one would you get and why?

So this is the thing: i live in a 3 bedroom small apartment and have been doing DIY with woods since pandemic times. First i bought a drill then another one, then a bunch of handmade wooden tools and then two jigsaws. Lately my last purchase was a orbital sander. I also have a portable Ketet workbench (remember my space is very limited). Although I learned how to do almost 90% straight cuts with my jigsaws I want to do the jump and make it 100% staright cut. Everybody will say "buy a circular saw" but I am trying to avoid big and dangerous tools, having kids playing around in a small apartment is very dangerous. So... with a trim router can I be able to do a a straight cut after the jigsaw cut to remove imperfections? And make it an almost perfect straight cut just like a circular saw (but taking more time and money)? Wich bits should I pick to do it?? Thanks!!

Someone posted some tools for $5 per. I am thinking about picking up some for my DIY brick job later next year. Does anyone have any suggestions?
